Key Info

  • Some pets are welcome - please contact the owner
  • Private garden

Bracken Hill is a finely restored, luxurious and affordable self-catering holiday home with spectacular views of the Wicklow mountains, reservoirs, forests and stunning views on all sides of the Irish countryside.

The property is completely private. The terrace, garden and the house are not overlooked on any side and electric gates into the property add to sense of privacy and security. Likewise, the views from the house do not overlook any other property, but rolling Wicklow farmland and sheep!

Bracken Hill has been renovated and extended to the highest standards. Originally a foresters' cottage, the house comes triple insulated, with oil fired central heating. Solid wood pitch pine flooring, recessed lighting, wood burning stove, and tasteful soft furnishings all add to the cosiness. All of our guests comment on the comfort and quality of the beds.

The house comes fully equipped with all modern conveniences, including washing machine, drier, dishwasher, microwave, etc, also WiFi, and Sky satellite TV.

The house is especially well set up to cater for families with children. Indoors there is Playstation, as well as a fussball table, a selection of toys and puzzles, and books for young and old alike. Outdoors there is a large play area for children, with 14ft trampoline, swing, see-saw and slide set, as well as an elevated tree house.

There are three bedrooms which can sleep up to seven people. Upstairs, the landing has a cot, and the master bedroom is comes with a super kingsize double bed with ensuite WC and shower. There are two twin rooms downstairs, one of which has a pull out trundle for an extra bed. There is a bathroom with bath and a double shower. There is a spacious kitchen/dining area as well as comfortable sitting/living room with wood burning stove and views over the reservoir. There is also a porch with traditional Irish 'half-door'.

The back door opens from the kitchen/dining out to the garden which comprises nearly an acre of well-kept lawn and mature and native woodland. There is also terraced area, gas BBQ with garden furniture, and parking space for up to six cars.
