Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 7
11 Camilla is a recently restored four bedroomed individual villa with plunge pool and situated in a safe residential area within walking distance of the beach and local shops. The through lounge diner is comfortably furnished and leads to the well equipped kitchen area. The living space flows well and is ideal for entertaining - We have recently had six adults staying at the house with no problems at all. There are three decks - all with sea views, as well as an upper and lower garden - plenty of places to hide and read a book! If we could we would live there all the time! The property is well place for access to Newlands for Cricket and Rugby fixtures by rail from Glencairn station.

The property is situated in an area of outstanding beauty being within an easy drive of many interesting locations including Cape Point, Simon's Town , The Winelands and Cape Town Waterfront.

Cape Town Waterfront can be reached in 35 minutes, as can Camps Bay and the Cable Car. Constancia, with it's famous vineyards and restaurants is a mere 20 minutes drive and hosts many fine eating establishments. Nearer to home is Kalk Bay where many a famous film has been made featuring the small fishing harbour. Simon'sTown which is a very short drive away is justly famous for it's Historic Mile and has many examples of Victorian buildings which have been lovingly restored to house restaurants and shops. There are museums depicting the Naval history of the town and guided walks through the back streets of the town. Further on is Boulders Beach with it's Penguins and Cape Point. This stretch of the coast is famous for close encounters with WHALES during the season.

"Great property, fantastic views"
The villa was all that we expected. Well equiped, clean and tidy. The position was ideal, close to facilities and with fantastic views across the bay to Simon's Town. Pool was nice if a bit chilly! Although it had internet access, it does not have wifi, so be prepared to use a dongle to get internet access. We liked it so much we want to buy a property there!

"Lovely, spacious house with stunning views convenient to Fish Hoek and beautiful Boulders Beach. Very helpful owners !"
The owners of this house were extremely helpful in accommodating us at short notice and also extending our stay for an extra four days. The house is spacious, nicely decorated, well equipped and absolutely perfect for a family holiday. The views were stunning and we loved the many decks to sit on to enjoy it. We also enjoyed the plunge pool to cool off in after a day at the beach. Just wonderful and highly recommended !

"Brilliant house to relax in"
We all enjoyed staying in this well furnished family home which is in a quiet area. The beach at Fish Hoek nearby was lovely and had fun body boarding. We enjoyed a family barbecue and used the plunge pool to cool off on the hottest days. Most of all loved the views from all the rooms at the front -miss having breakfast outside with such a view !

"Spacious, light and well equipped"
We loved this villa - one of the best self catering places we have stayed in. 4 good sized bedrooms with very comfortable beds. Comfy sofas. Well equipped kitchen with even a cafetiere. Also supplied with a phone and sim card. The floor to ceiling glass doors in the lounge gave amazing views out to sea but as it was winter did make it cold in the evenings. The gas heater provided warmed the place up. Very easy to get to the beach in Simon's Town where we arranged shark cage diving, and saw the penguins at Boulder's beach. Not too long to drive to other sites like Table Mountain and Cape Point. A really great place with friendly an helpful owner. We will definitely book this place again.

We stayed in Camilla for 10 days and we really enjoyed. The house is very nice and the kitchen is perfect if you want to cook for dinner (we had a one year old child and it was perfect). The location was great, we could go to cape town in 40 minutes and to Cap point in 30 minutes. We were in the city of penguins and they were very cute!!!
The only difficulty was to dry the laundry because the house was cold and wet. It's a summer house and we were in winter, so we were a bit cold but it's not Camilla's fault! And they had left us heatings. But even with this little default, I would recommend it. Patricia answers to your mail in a few hours (even minutes!) and everything is very simple to organise. I think this house must be extraordinary in summertime with the pool, the terrass and the view. And it's clothe to beaches. So don't hesitate, go!

"Surprisingly good house"
After 19 hours on the plane, a spectacular drive over the mountains, we finally arrived at the house. We were met by a friendly caretaker who showed us around.
Wow, we were not prepared for the breathtaking views of the bay from the balcony. We noticed also that the owners took care of the house, the rooms have good standad with proper furniture. It was fresh and not worn, we were not disappointed.
If you rent this house you must have a car, but be sure not to rent a small car, it's steep hills. Our automatic transmission car did not like us!
We can recommend the house.

"Everything we expected and more!"
We travelled as an extended family with 2 small children. Camilla lived up to all of our expectations in terms of high quality spacious accommodation and location. Camilla provides everything you need - great facilities and ease of location with a good road network (vineyards within 20minutes, Cape Town around 35mins). Waking up each morning to the sound of the sea and view of the mountains was simply a joy.

"Family Adventure in The Cape"
Six of us, aged between 9 and 60+, stayed at 11 Camilla for two weeks. We used the house a base for our wanderings around the Cape.
The house was easy to find and excellently presented on arrival. The four bedrooms were exactly what we needed to fit our party. The standard of furnishing was very comfortable and we particularly appreciated the well appointed kitchen and dining area as we like to self cater.
Views from the house are quite spectacular as it looks out over the bay toward Simon's Town. The house is in a spot where road access to the whole Cape Town area is really easy. We spent much of our time along the False Bay road, in Muizenburg etc. Cape Town itself is about 40 minutes drive away. It is also very simple to drive from the house out toward Sir Lowry's Pass to access the Garden Route and also Hermanus for whales and sharks.
