The West Country region
Whether your idea of the perfect holiday is a stay in rambling countryside, a bustling coastal resort or a picture postcard cottage in a quaint town, you will find it in Somerset. Blue Chip's Somerset holiday cottages enable guests to choose between coast, land and country - or one of many Somerset holidays that blankets all three. The village of Cheddar gave the world Cheddar cheese, and still produces it today. West Somerset is home to the longest preserved steam railway in England. The word Somerset translates to 'land of the summer people'
Glastonbury town centre is a short walk away where you'll find a range of quirky independent shops selling locally designed art, clothing and jewellery. With an array of independent cafes and pubs, this is a lovely place to visit if you enjoy a lazy afternoon stroll. With Glastonbury Abbey and Wearyall Hill just a short distance from the apartment, you definitely won't be short of things to do and sights to see during your stay.
There is so much more to Glastonbury than the world famous festival. There are a wide range of festivals and conferences that take place in the town, from the Goddess Festival to the spectaular Guy Fawkes Glastonbury Carnival. You will see the streets light up with colourful characters and an atmosphere you won't find anywhere else.
