This modern apartment is the perfect base for Commonwealth Games visitors to Glasgow due to its central location, within walking distance to Glasgow's city centre and minutes by taxi to Games' venues. It is situated on the south side of the river and adjacent to the underground station (West Street) and main motorway (M8 and M74) links, which is very convenient for Glasgow Airport. Nearby are cinemas (The Quay) , major music venues (HYDRO, SEEC and O2 ACADEMY), fantastic restaurants, a great theatre (CITIZENS) and a casino. Glasgow is a great place to visit, with the West End, the fantastic Merchant CIty and the South side. The apartment is right in the middle of all these areas. The apartment is in a historic private 'gardens' conversion has private parking. The gardens are managed, modern and safe. Please note, this property has been relisted for the Commonwealth games, so at this time there are no reviews; however, during the previous listing there were positive reviews, e.g. (1) 'very nice and modern flat. Comfortable and Tom surprised me with a welcome pack ( bread , tea, milk and butter) . That was so thoughtful and made me repeat my visit. Location is ideal for shopping. Next to the train station an added plus and would recommend this flat any day. thanks Tom, you are the best. I found Westbridge apt and couldn't be happier that I did! The apt. is very well located within a short walk to all the shopping, restaurants and pubs Glasgow has to offer. Tom, the owner couldn't have been more helpful, giving us a list of all his favorite haunts in the City. The apt. is very well equipped and lacked for nothing. I especially liked that we had a gigantic flat screen TV in the living room and also a TV in the bedroom. Free, on-site parking was a blessing as well. We began to feel like real Glaswegians after awhile. Enjoy the quality and style throughout this apartment from the extensive living / dining area with comfortable fabric suites, large (42 inch) on-wall television with freeview channels, with large dining table and chairs; all benefiting from an extensive space and tastefully dimmer fixed and localised lighting.

There is the tastefully furnished bedroom with a super king size bed, surrounded by Italian bedroom furniture, drawers, bedside table and wall-hung mirrored wardrobe.

There is the modern bathroom with bath and shower over, with dimmer lights for that soothing bath after your journey. There is the fully equipped kitchen with gas cooker, oven and hob, microwave, separate fridge and freezer, washer/dryer machine, dishwasher, slow cookers, electric kettles, toaster, with substantial crockery/cutlery and everything the discerning diner would need to prepare a fine meal.

Fresh linen and towels are available on every arrival. A hair drier, iron, and ironing board are also available. Please note the flat is on the third floor accessed by six short flight of stairs, handrails on both sides. It is not suitable for disabled persons or people with breathing difficulties.

The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

Glasgow is close to Loch Lomond and the road to the highlands. Closeby there are many fantastic golf courses and distilleries. Glasgow itself offers great museums, art galleries, theatres and fantastic night life.


The apartment is close to all Commonwealth Games venues, the new Hydro, SSCC, Citizens Theatre, the O2 Academy music venue, the and the Burrell exhibition.
