The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

Situated at the foot of Banton Loch which is part of the Colzium Country Park Estate providing fishing, country walks and children’s outdoor play area on your doorstep. The nearby Forth and Clyde canal network is only a 5 minute walk and is overlooked by the Antonine Wall, a world heritage site. This beautiful waterway leads East to the Falkirk Wheel and beyond. For those planning to head further afield the motorway network is only a 5 minute drive away and provides fast easy access to Stirling, Edinburgh and Glasgow, plus Loch Lomond and the Trossacs.

Stirlng is approx 15 minutes by car and as the old Capital of Scotland is a must see for History lovers. Stirling Castle, the Wallace Monument and the Battle of Bannockburn site.

Glasgow takes about 20 minutes and is now one of the top cities in the UK for shoppers. Buchannan Street, Sauchiehall Street and Argyle Street are always busy. Other attractions are the Burrel Museum, Art Galleries, New Transport Museum and if time is limited we would recommend the Peoples Palace on Glasgow Green.

Edinburgh is again reached directly by motorway in 30 - 40 minutes. Princes Street, the Royal Mile and The Castle are the popular and impressive sights.

Loch Lomond National Park takes about 45 minutes for some of the best scenery in Scotland. A selection of cruises are available or private boal hire if you prefer. Loch Lomond is very large so allow plenty of time or for a shorter cruise try Loch Katrine.

The Swan Inn is a 15 minute walk along the side of Banton Loch where you will recieve a warm welcome with good food at reasonable prices or just a friendly drink.

"Perfect wedding venue and it exceeded expectations!"

We were looking to rent a house, near Glasgow, with a large garden so we could have a garden BBQ wedding for about 45 people. We found it! Loch End Cottage is beautiful and in beautiful surroundings. The owner, Mark, was very helpful and we can't thank him enough for letting us have our wedding here. Everyone commented on what a great idea it was to rent a house because then you have no limitations and it meant our friends were able to stay over without booking hotels.
The house is a lot more spacious than we expected, the kitchen is HUGE! The bedrooms were lovely and had every amenity you could need. It was so so good, we were really pleased we went with Loch End Cottage.
