Key Info
  • Not suitable for children
  • No pets allowed

We think this flat has the 'wow' factor, located in the 'B' listed former Garnethill School. With private parking (rare in the City centre) it is in a quiet spot close to Glasgow School of Art yet walking distance to City attractions & transport. With a king size bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed on the mezzanine the property readily adapts to sleep four whilst not interfering with the main lounge and dining area. The electric wood effect stove in the lounge provides a cosy welcome home be it from a full days' shopping, visiting the many tourist attractions or after enjoying the bars, restaurants, theatres and clubs all within walking distance. The Scandinavian style kitchen is new and provides everything you need to provide your own gourmet dinner. Free WI FI and speaker system with mini jack and Bluetooth connectivity allow you to create your own home from home. The bathroom has a full size bath with electric shower over. Steps lead up from the parking and courtyard area at the rear of the building to a buzzer controlled secure entrance door. This is shared with just one other flat and leads to a bright inner hallway. This a family home and we would appreciate you respecting this and kindly request that you withhold from having any parties.

"Perfect!"

I wish all holiday accommodation could meet this standard! Firstly the owner was so good at communicating via email and very friendly, and when we arrived they had even put the basics (bread, milk and butter) in the fridge for us so we didn't need to run out and buy that to get a cuppa! What more could you ask for!? The place was lovely and clean, warm, well presented, the rooms were even aired with the windows open when we arrived, meaning we didn't overheat at bed time, which was brilliant! There was plenty of space to unpack if we'd been staying a bit longer and the kitchen was kitted out with everything we needed for our short stay. Everything was in walking distance (especially once we figured the best way to get up without going up that deadly hill that looked on a map like the quickest way lol) all in all I really couldn't have asked for better the only CONS for me would be that if you weren't very mobile, then the entry way is really steep, it felt like a climbing a mountain after a hard days shopping, and the guest bed upstairs, being a fold out sofa bed, is not ideally suited to 2 people and my brother and his wife (who are thankfully quite slim) felt like they were a bit squished into the middle of it, but you do expect that a bit with a sofa bed, and it was fine for our short stay of 2 nights. but the PROS far out way that - Convenient - 10 minute walk from Sauchiehall street, clean, warm, well presented, modern, comfortable, quiet area, very helpful friendly landlord/lady who thought of everything, wifi, mod cons, basically fantastic!

"Quirky and Cosy flat! Great location withing Glasgow city centre."

I stayed here with friends and we loved everything about the flat. It was decorated beautifully and kitted out with everything you could need for a wee weekend away; kitchen utensils, toiletries, space for storing clothes, hairdryer and even some yummy essentials (milk, bread, butter, jam, wine and Scottish teacakes!). Fresh flowers around the house ensured you that the owner had been Two of us slept in the bedroom (very very comfy!) and the other two slept in the sofa bed upstairs (also very comfy!). Either the flat was naturally warm and well insulated or the heating always on as it did get far too hot at night/when it bed so best look at adjusting the heating for your stay depending on your preferences and/or time of year. It was good when returning back to the flat after getting caught walking in the rain both as meant a nice cosy welcome :o) My friends and I were making the trip down to Glasgow from Aberdeen for a concert. Normally we'd just drive back up through the night but after seeing this flat at such a fair price, we decide to make a weekend out of our visit and take time out to look round the city. We're so glad we did and the flat was excellent location for walking to the shops, touring some sights and even walking home after a few drinks. Free parking at the flat meant we could leave the car no problem and explore Glasgow on foot. My friends and I all agreed we would definitely make the trip again and stay in the same place as it was so ideal, easy and pleasant. The owner, Anita, proved great when needing to get in touch before/after our stay. Thanks again Anita!

"Cracking appartment in a good location of the city"

This was my first booking on TA and initially wasn't sure about the 'mail and wait' way it was done, however, we had quick contact from Anita with confirmation and details of stay/entry. Easy to find and dedicated car park were very handy, with key collection and entry a doddle. A personalised letter and some basics in the kitchen (milk/bread/biscuits/wine) were a nice welcome and we found the apartment light and homely, with the nice double height living space and all the usual items everyone now accustomed to around the home, including wifi, TV with freeview and sound system that you can play your ipod etc through. A good location for exploring - both heading back out and around town in the car, or a short walk down to Sauchiehall St then down to the Centre, with the shops, and access to the bus service to explore further afield. A good stay and likely be back again in future
