"Very nice two bedroom apartment in good location"

My husband and I spent a week here with my parents while visiting my daughter who lives nearby. It is a very spacious, modern apartment with all the amenities you would want away from home. I don'… More

"Home Sweet Home"

To say that we loved our stay in this Glasgow apartment would be an understatement. My two children and I (12 and 16 years old) stayed for over two weeks and could not have felt more at home. When we arrived early in the morning, we were greeted by a lovely young man who explained everything about the apartment. (He even came back and drew a diagram of how to use the washer/dryer when I called explaining that I clearly could not remember his instructions.) The apartment itself was extremely comfortable and clean, with plenty of closets and dressers, and felt down-right cozy. The location is perfect for whatever it is you'd like to find in Glasgow. My daughter was taking a class in the city center and was able to take the bus or (inexpensive) taxi to and from school and get there in minutes. A great coffee shop (or two) is right across the street and a wonderful Italian restaurant is directly below the apartment. Plus, the 24-hour market is on the same block which came in handy everyday. We could also walk to Byres Road to have dinner or stroll over to Kelvingrove Park to relax. The apartment has very large windows, which is not the norm in Glasgow. Since the sun sets late at night, it was great to have lots of light at all times of day, even during the gloomy Scottish weather. But what I'd like to stress most is that the owner of the apartment is extremely kind and hospitable and cared about our experience. She sent me numerous suggestions of things to do with my kids, which were all perfect. I worried that staying in someone else's home could be a bit strange, but I have to say that no matter where went during the day, we always enjoyed coming back to the apartment in the evening. In fact, we even went to Edinburgh for the weekend and stayed in an amazing hotel. But as great as it was, when we walked back into this apartment, we dropped our bags and said, "home, sweet home!" My older daughter is already planning her Glasgow stay for next summer. I think she's on to something.

Thanks Debbie for your lovely review, I'm so glad that you enjoyed Glasgow and Kelvingrove apartment.
I would love to welcome you back anytime. Beth
