A charming and tastefully decorated 2 double bedroom top floor apartment ,with period features and furnishings which is fully equipped for short or long term stays . The apartment is within an architecturally interesting building in the Finnieston / Anderston district of Glasgow. The flat is a 5 minutes walk from the City centre, also a 5 minute walk to The HYDRO and SECC Arenas (hosting some events for the Commonwealth games) and 15 minutes walk to the leafy west end and Byres road (University area) . The apartment has 2 bedrooms ( 1 king size bed and 1 small double bed) , an open plan kitchen/ living room (with tv, dvd, dining table , sofa , fitted kitchen ( washing machine , dishwasher, microwave and all utensils),bathroom with bath and shower. The flat benefits from gas central heating. Fresh bed linen and towels supplied on arrival. Children's cot and high chair can be provided on request.

The building is in the Art Nouveau style and was designed by James Salmon Jr , a contemporary of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. The building is in the area where the comedian Billy Connolly was born and brought up. The apartment is ideal if you are looking for a good alternative to hotel accommodation - for periods of 3 nights to 5 months - while travelling to Glasgow, on holiday, on a business trip, temporary placement or need temporary accommodation while you relocate to Glasgow to live or for your stay during The Commonwealth Games.

Very close by, are the new SSE Hydro arena The SECC , where live concerts and events are held. The Finnieston /Anderston area has numerous bars , restaurants, public transport links ( bus & train) providing fast commuter access to Glasgow City Centre ( 1 train stop) , the west end and all surrounding areas of the city. There are public transport options on the doorstep with buses and trains only moments away.

The property is a few minutes walk away from Finnieston , the new cool area of Glasgow, which has taken over from Byres road as the place to dine , drink and socialise. Fiinieston has a buzz of artists, musicians and creatives.
