Situated in the vibrant West End burgh of Partick, this fully renovated apartment provides peace and quiet and comfort for guests.
The apartment has been extensively renovated to a very high standard.
Part of a traditional historic red sandstone tenement building, the apartment is on the second floor. As its a traditional tenement all the rooms have high ceilings which adds lots of character to the apartment. With the extensive renovation, the apartment is literally brand new inside but i've still managed to mix this in with the charm of an old tenement building. There is also a complete new Central Heating system within the apartment.
The apartment has a gorgeous internal kitchen with solid wood worktops, white high gloss units and slate tiles. Kitchen facilities comprise washing machine, under counter fridge freezer, oven, hob and microwave. All crockery and cutlery is provided.
The lounge is nice and spacious with a bay window looking out onto Exeter Drive/ Dumbarton Road. In the lounge there is a high quality Sofa Bed and a relaxing large armchair. There is a solid wood dining table with 4 chairs. A brand new Sony 42 inch flatscreen Smart TV.
In the bedroom, there is a brand new luxurious Double Divan Bed (with storage drawers underneath), Sealy Posturepedic superior mattress, oak wooden wardrobe and dressing table, mirror and stool and a bedside table with lamp for reading.
The bathroom really is gorgeous. Natural Stone Travertine tiles all over to give it that wet room feel/ look. Bathroom area has a toilet, sink and stunning double shower with overhead electric shower.
The apartment is ideal for two couples or for a family of four or even 2-4 friends. It is definitely a peaceful apartment and would suit most folk looking for a relaxing short break but with the option of having all the fabulous amenities of the West End/ City Centre available to them.
*The sleeping arrangements will be the Double bed in the bedroom sleeping 2 people. In the lounge the Sofa Bed will fold down to sleep another two people. The maximum people the property can sleep is 4. If in some circumstances some guests do not want to share the sofa bed or double bed i can provide an additional single fold down bed/s.*
The main entrance to the apartment block is operated by security access.
*On street parking is available. There are NO parking charges. Parking can sometimes be limited in the evenings but you can usually always get a parking space.*
*Cot and high chair can be provided if necessary.*
*The apartment is fitted with a Smoke Alarm and Carbon Dioxide Alarm.*
The apartment is in a great location, on the thriving Dumbarton Road. With easy walking to local bistros and classic West End eateries and shops, the hustle bustle is literally on your doorstep. A 15-20 minute walk takes you to Byres Road which is bustling with cafés, shops, restaurants and nightlife. The exquisite 500 year old Glasgow University, the beautiful Kelvingrove Art Galleries and Museum, Kelvingrove Park and Glasgow Botanic Gardens are all within easy walking distance of the apartment. For those that prefer not to walk there is buses galore more or less right outside the apartment taking you all over the West End/into the City Centre. I'm happy to provide further details to guests if required.
Other nearby attractions include the Riverside Museum (European Museum of the year 2013) and the new Glasgow Hydro and Exhibition Centres which are the main venues in the whole of Scotland for exhibitions and music events.
Access to transport facilities is also within walking distance from the apartment.
Partick station is a 5 minute walk away. Its a combined railway station and underground station along with an adjacent bus station, forms one of the main transport hubs in Glasgow with regular services to many locations in Greater Glasgow and wider Strathclyde.
You can reach the centre of town in around 10 minutes by either the Train or the Underground.
Glasgow Airport is also very convenient to get to. It is only 12 minutes in a taxi.

Glasgow is a cosmopolitan, international city lying close to spectacular Scottish scenery. It is an ideal base from which to explore Central Scotland. There are excellent road and public transport links from which to explore the central belt and the Scottish Islands. Oban, on the magnificent west coast, is only a short journey away by sea plane.
A drive of only 40 minutes will take you to the beautiful Loch Lomond National Park. The city of Edinburgh with its world famous festival is only a 45 minute train journey away. The beaches of the west coast can be reached by car or train in just under an hour.
The chic West End seems a world away from the hustle and bustle of Glasgow City Centre.
The hub of life in this part of Glasgow is Byres Road, running between Great Western Road and Dumbarton Road past Hillhead underground station. Shops, restaurants, cafés, some enticing pubs and hordes of students give the area a sense of style and vitality. Glowing red sandstone tenements and graceful terraces provide a suitably upmarket backdrop to this cosmopolitan district.
In addition to the stunning Victorian architecture it is also known for its public parks and gardens and as a home for celebrities.
Glasgow is a shoppers' paradise, second only to London for sheer volume and choice. The vibrant city nightlife brings further choices with it's with funky bars, restaurants, theatres and clubs.
Places to visit include Ashton Lane at Byres Road, Glasgow's Botanical Gardens, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Kelvingrove Park. Princes Square, Buchanan Galleries, Loch Lomond Shores, The Mackintosh House, Merchant Square,The Burrell Collection, National Bagpiping Centre, Museum of Transport and the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC). Depending on whether you walk or choose to drive, all of these attractions are easily accessible from the apartment.

"Amazing holiday rental"
I have been extremely happy throughout the whole process from the initial booking to the actual visit. Craig was really helpful when I made enquiries into the booking, and kept in touch the whole way through, arranging to meet us at the apartment to show us round and welcome us, I was extremely impressed when we arrived, the apartment is a fantastic rental, completely modern, immaculately tidy, very comfy double bed and pull out sofa, kitchen full of most utensils you'll require throughout your stay, wifi and smart tv, this is an extremely warm apartment, we never had the heating on the whole of our stay, windows open the whole time Transport links within minutes from the apartment, taxi into the city centre cost £6 and £11/12 to and from the airport. Shops, restaurants and bars galore, we spent an evening on Byers Road, 10 minutes walk away, amazing restaurants and lovely pubs. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. A huge thank you to Craig for being so welcoming :)

I booked Craig's apartment for my parents' stay in Glasgow. The apartment is very well located, close to shops, transport and restaurants; and although it is in a very busy road it is very quiet at night. Craig is a great host, very helpful and he keeps the place immaculate. I will highly recommend the place.

Brian's flat was great. I rented it for my parents are sister, who came for a visit over Christmas, and it was perfect. Very clean, in a really quiet building where we rarely heard any of the neighbours, and close enough to Partick station. It was also surprinsingly warm, we rarely had to put the heating on! The landlord (Brian) was really really helpful and helped us out with everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this flat to anyone! (it´s ideal for 2 or 3 people)

"Excellent 1 bed apartment in a great location!"
This gem of an apartment was a fantastic find. Spotless, newly decorated & re-furbished it has everything one would wish an apartment to have. A 15 minute walk to the heart of the West End and Byres Road. Bus No. 747 takes you from Glasgow Airport almost to the front door for just under 5.00 pounds. Bedroom is at back of apartment and even though it is on a busy road it is extremely quiet and you will have no problem getting to sleep at night. Craig the owner was there to meet me and gave me all the information I needed for a comfortable stay. Hope to make a return visit to this lovely apartment in the near future.

"Cosy, clean, contempory accommodation ."
Nice and central , very clean with modern facilities and appliances . Well furnished with everything you need. Fabulous big flat screen television. Craig the owner was incredibly helpful and welcoming, would definitely stay again.

"Great little flat in an ideal location"
Can't fault this apartment. The decor and finish has been done to a very high standard. It is spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for our weekend stay. We would definately recommend this property as a better alternative to staying in a hotel.

I had a short stay here from 16th-19th September. This apartment is a fantastic little find, it has everything you need to make your stay pleasant and comfortable and has a great location. You are close to Partick station giving you easy access to Glasgow city centre and surrounding area aswell as the West End Shopping centre. Across from the flat there is a great little Chinese take away. Craig the owner of the apartment is great and extremely helpful as is his assistant Pauline. I look forward to staying in this property again in the future.

"Lovely flat, great location"
We had an enjoyable 1 weeks stay in this nicely rennovated red sandstone tenement apartment . Good location for city centre, pubs and resturants (Byres road) and more importantly for us only 20 mins walk to the hospital. Would suit 2 people comfortably although will sleep 4. Light, warm and well furnished. Easy to find and good access to the motorway and also local public transport. Brian was very helpfull. Derek and Kate

"ideal self catering in glasgow"
we loved the apartment - new, clean, tasteful, quiet and comfortable in an interesting area of the city with two really good friendly eating places half a minute away - Velvet Elvis and Bibis. we would definitely stay again - much nicer than a hotel. welcoming owner and easy to book.

"Safe, clean, modern and honest owner"
If you are looking for a safe, clean and great location apartment in Glasgow, look no further. First, Craig Mackenzie will go out of his way to assure all is right with the apartment every moment you are there. He is a great communicator and follows up with you in an enjoyable professional manor. We rented this apt. for the month of March. Being from the USA, we had many questions and concerns prior to booking. Again, Craig was awesome at answering every question and concern for two women coming to stay for a month. The place is well laid out and all the essentials are there. Parking on the side street was always available and we felt secure coming and going into the apt complex at all times. It is very quite for it's location. Sure there is a bit of street noise but that comes with City living. There are buses, and train access within walking distance. Several super markets to help keep the cost down, or a plethora of restaurants for every taste in the neighborhood too. University of Glasgow, and several museums are a 20 min. walk away. Downtown can be walked to in an hour along the Clyde River. The updated modern feel of this place makes you feel like you are in a nice hotel. That’s why this works for those on a short holiday, or a month for business/leisure combo. This is a home away from home. I could not have asked for more, and feel blessed to have found such great hospitality, honesty, and comfort for our lengthy stay.
