About the home

Stunning 11th century Catalan villa available to rent in Sils, in the county of Girona , region Costa Brava, approximately 55 mins from Barcelona and easy accessible via main roads and the motorway. It is in an ideal location for enjoying the famous Costa Brava coastline, which is only 20 mins drive away.

La Bella Dona has 8 large available rooms and sleeps up to 32 people. It is the perfect place to organise a family holiday or a reunion with a group of friends.

This villa is located in private and extensive enclosed grounds of more than 6600 m² with a large swimming pool and sunbathing area surrounded by fences for child safety.

This large holiday rental villa is comfortably furnished in a traditional Catalan style, with thick stone walls to keep the house cool in the summer and cosy in the winter. In addition, the property is decorated throughout with beautiful tiles from the Girona Costa Brava region. The whole villa is full of superb and original features, including beamed ceilings in all the rooms.

The surrounding landscape includes woodland and cultivated fields. Near the forests there is a pond, which can be used for carp fishing.

La Bella Dona is a large villa measuring 650 m² spread out over two floors. It is laid out as follows:

Ground Floor, sleeps 15

A spacious entrance hall and large dining area for up to 32 people.
A large fully fitted and equipped kitchen . A lounge/dining room area in the kitchen with a fireplace and a spacious cellar downstairs

Four bathrooms:

Sitting room with Hi Fi, large screen TV 42' , SAT, MP3, DVD and DivX, and beautifully decorated with items of period furniture.

Four bedrooms situated on the right-hand side of the entrance hall:

Two bedrooms have en suite bathroom complete with hand basin, WC and shower.

A large saloon adjoins the living areas and is equipped with a table tennis table, dartboard and other games for the younger ones.

Upper floor, sleeps 17

Four bedrooms situated on both sides of the landing.

Sitting room with TV and library.

The whole villa has central heating throughout for the winter months.

Bella Dona is a villa, which is available to rent on the Costa Brava all year round, by the week or for the weekend. Prices are for the rental of the entire property. Weekly bookings run from Saturday 4 pm to Saturday 10 am and include taxes, energy, water, bed linen, towels and final cleaning.


The villa does not have a restaurant service, however we can offer our guests information about famous restaurants, details of a wide range of supermarkets and all useful information about the area.

Conditions

Villa La Belladona is available to rent all year-round: by the fortnight, week, for a few days or just for a weekend. Prices quoted are for the rental of the entire property.

Weeks booked during the summer months will run from Saturday to Saturday and include all costs and taxes pertaining to the property (electricity, water, linen, towels and final cleaning).

The Girona / Sils area

Girona, historic capital of the region
Within half an hour you can be in the heart of Girona, historic capital of the region. Girona is a popular shopping destination and you'll find a wealth of shops and stalls selling everything from locally produced artisan products to the latest fashions in clothing and electronic gadgets. Those seeking a more cultural touch need only take a stroll through the winding medieval streets of the old Jewish quarter (one of the best preserved in the region), visit the cathedral or cross the River Onyar on a bridge designed by Eifel, famous for his tower in Paris.


Tossa de Mar
North of Blanes is Tossa de Mar, the "blue paradise", as the French painter Marc Chagall called it. And he was right, because Tossa is a tantalizing mix of medieval watch-towers and walls, a golden sandy beach and a picturesque old town (Villa Vella). With its crystal clear water Tossa is a popular destination for scuba diving, but those who enjoy a relaxing promenade stroll and good food will also enjoy this traditional seaside town. While it can get busy on the beach in summertime, Tossa de Mar still retains an unspoilt character and offers a glimpse of the original Costa Brava ambience.

Figueres and Port Lligat, home of Salvador Dalí
If you prefer to stay inland, Figueres is a popular destination for Dalí Museum. With its central location, unusual architecture and huge trademark eggs on the roof, finding the museum is rarely a problem. Once inside you can enjoy a dazzling selection of the imaginative, bizarre and amusing work of this world-renowned Catalan artist. Be careful not to step on his grave, though, you'll be so distracted by the paintings on the wall, you won't even notice you're walking over it. If you enjoyed the visit to the museum in Figueres, you can't miss out on a visit to Port Lligat, where the artist and his wife Gala lived, to see the former Dalí home - hidden between the trees on the coast and now open to the public.

"Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette très jolie maison. L’accueil de Joseph et de son épouse était parfait. Ils se sont rendus très disponibles pour nous. L’équipement correspond bien à ce qui est mentionné, dommage qu’il faisait froid en février, nous aurions bien aimé profiter de la piscine tant celle-ci parait propre et bien entretenue, … Info vérité : Cette maison se trouve en haut d’un chemin de terre, est isolée de la ville de Riudarenes, mais offre tout le calme et la tranquillité à ses occupants. Un véhicule est donc souhaitable. Nous y retournerons volontiers !! "
