Casa Rosita is a delightful little Catalan cottage situated in the small village of Juia in the heart of the Ampurdan countryside. Ideally located for exploring the nearby typical villages, the beautiful Costa Brava and the historic city of Gerona.

The entrance, a typical Catalan stable where animals where originally tethered, leads up to the first floor which comprises of kitchen with 4 ring ceramic hob & oven, coffee machine, toaster, small fridge. All cooking utensils and dinnerware are provided, dinning table for 6 and large fridge and freezer.

Sitting room: comfortable sitting for 6, log fire if required, television cd and dvd. Door leading to outdoor terrace. Office with ample dining perfect for aperitifs or just relaxing. Fully equipped bathroom,The second floor has 1 large double room with balcony, 1 small double, and 1 twin-bedded-room. The cottage is simply but comfortably furnished.

Portable BBQ and dining for 6 umbrella.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia/Barcelona region

The Costa Brava is a 160-kilometre stretch of beautiful, rugged coastline in the region of Catalonia in the North East corner of Spain. Natural beauty, endless miles of sandy beaches and summer sunshine. You'll find modern, international tourist resorts with high-rise hotels alongside unspoilt fishing villages, sheltered rocky coves and medieval towns with ancient castles. The Costa stretches from Blanes, North of Barcelona, to Roses near the French border.

Blanes, a harbour on the Costa Brava, the Wild Coast, at the border of the province of Barcelona, marks the beginning of the most light-filled part of the Costa Brava.

The Costa Brava is formed by a lot of little towns and small fishing ports like Cadaqués, which was the residence of Salvador Dalí. Calella de Palafrugell where you can listen to the famous habaneras in a festival celebrated once a year.

In the 200 kilometres we will find little Mediterranean towns like L'Escala, Palamos or Sant Feliu de Guixols.

The centre of the city of Girona is determined by the layout of the old quarter, which followed the borders of the ancient Roman city.

In this area we find the old Benedictine monastery of Sant Pere de Galligants, the wall-top promenade, opened in 1985, the Sant Feliu church and the Arab Baths, which date from the 12th century.

One of the city's most emblematic points is the recently refurbished Rambla de la Llibertat, a beautiful shop-lined promenade. A good number of the back streets and alleyways of Girona's old quarter run between the Rambla de la Llibertat and Ciutadans street.

Girona

Is a historic city situated in the Girones area, it offers lovely restaurants and shops and has narrow little streets leading to the various bridges that communicate both sides of the city. The historic part of Girona is one of the most charming in Catalauña as it has monumental buildings considered unique in the whole of Europe. Girona is certainly worth a visit either to visit its charming historic part, have a nice shopping day, or to enjoy the gastronomic experience, as there are 3 restaurants with Michelin stars. Girona is connected to Barcelona by the new supersonic train the ave that gets you into the centre in 30 minutes.
