Cal Adroer is a traditional Catalan manor house, where the totally independent 300 m2 top floor is for rent. The accommodation has a capacity for 7 persons and all bedrooms have a balcony or window facing outside . The house dates from the 17th century and has been carefully well preserved. It is a place with a character - not resort style. The rooms are elegantly furnished and the property is ideal for those who have a special feeling for antiques. You find the house in a small Catalan village, at 20 km from the beaches in L'Escala and L'Estartit and at another 20 km from the Costa Brava's capital city, Girona. To the house belongs a garden of 2,500 m2 with swimming pool, which are shared with the owner's family. Between the pool (50 meters from the house) and the house there's an orchard and a secure parking lot. The big dimensions of the garden make it perfect for relaxing while enjoying the peace and quiet of the countryside.

The Costa Brava/Catalonia region

Costa Brava is very popular with British people as it is well known for its beautiful beaches and the weather is perfect all year round, the summer is fantastic and the winters are mild and sunny. Its name Brava meaning rough due to its many caves along the coastline and rough cliff faces. The capital city of the region is Girona, which is a really nice city whith a precious cathedral and a cosy historical centre. The city wall, la muralla, is a very cool place to walk on and to spend some time relaxing in the parks beneath. The Jewish quarter and the Arabian Baths are also worth visiting.

Girona / Viladasens area

Viladasens is a very tiny village and it's got approximately 160 inhabitants. The food in the village restaurant is good value for money. There are no shops in the village itself and the nearest one is just 3km away. This will provide a perfect holiday for a family who wants peace and relaxation in the countryside and just 20 minutes from the beach by car. If you like nature and walking through the fields, the village and surroundings is the perfect place.

How to get there

The property is situated at 120 km from Barcelona airport and at only 20 km from Girona airport, where Europe's largest low-cost air company Ryanair has a base: www.ryanair.com
If you come from either Barcelona or Girona airport, take the motorway AP7 (old A7) towards France and take exit number 5 (L'Escala - Empúries). As you leave the motorway, turn right towards Girona/Orriols. Drive for only about 100 metres and then turn left towards Viladasens. After 4 Km you will arrive in the village. Take the first street you can on the left and then the first on the right to arrive at the house.
