One of Baron Holidays flagship properties, the five villas, sit at the edge of a hamlet right out in rural Gozo, hidden away at the foot of one of the islands landmark hills. One can only get to them through narrow country lanes, past a small country chapel and century old farmhouses.
Aesthetically constructed in beautiful local limestone, in the style of the surrounding houses, the villas blend perfectly with their rustic, serene neighbourhood.
Once inside however you're back into the 21st century. The fully equipped kitchen, comfortable practical furniture, and airconditioning throughout, makes for an easy to manage self catering holiday. Meanwhile flat screen Tv's (one in the living area and another in the master bedroom) with tens of cable and radio channels, a play station and a DVD player will while any unoccupied hours.
At the back of the property a private pool with a large patio complete with sun decks and a Bbq area gives on to miles of uninterrupted undulating valleys and spectacular sunsets.
Sleeping accommodation, on the upper floor, which is reached via a traditional stone staircase, consist of 3 bedrooms, (one double and 2 twin beds) all with ensuite facilities. Elegantly furnished, in neutral colours and with understated lighting, the good sized rooms are designed to complement the peaceful and laid back ambiance of the surrounding countryside. A spare toilet on the ground floor with washing facilities completes the accommodation.
We spoil our visitors also in winter, as besides the inbuilt fireplace, the property enjoys underfloor heating throughout both floors. This allows for a perfect romantic break even during the mild Gozo winters when, with its green terraced hills and long sunny periods, Gozo is never more beautiful.
For the fitness minded the property also enjoys the additional facilities of a communal mini-gym and sauna making the property perfect for most preferences.

The Island of Gozo region
Gozo forms part of the Maltese Archipelago and right in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea. Gozo's small size is deceptive and its rich history and unique landscape catches the inexperienced traveler by surprise. Inhabited since mythical times, Gozo's retains an aura of unblemished beauty, still largely un spoilt and accessible to all.
The Islands history and past cultures are evident from its temples (thought to be the oldest standing structures in the world) and forts dotted around the countryside and along its shoreline. An old walled city dominates the centre of the island, high above its surrounding villages. Terraced fields, bordered by miles of old rubble walls, slope down a myriad of hills and valleys, making the countryside an irresistible lure for ramblers, especially during the winter months when the island attains a green golden hue all round.
Gozo – covers an area of 67 km or 26 square miles, it is 9 miles long by 4 ½ miles wide and known as the sleepy island full of grace and charm.
Gozo's population is about 31,000 (approx). Despite its compact size, Gozo has a lot to offer. Historical places can be found in an abundance, as a visit to the Ggantija temples is a must! It is believed that these temples are older than the Pyramids of Egypt in actual fact. They date back to 3.500 years B.C !
Gozo – Other places of interest include the museum of Archaeology in Victoria, which is full of archaeological remains and pre-historic artefacts. The Citadel (Victoria 'Capital City'), the folklore museum in Gharb, Xerri's Grotto, Ninu's Cave and Calypso's Cave, which can be found in Xaghra. 'Ta Pinu' Sanctuary, where, at the turn of the century a local peasant woman had apparitions from Our Lady, is a very special and Holy Place.
Xewkija Dome dedicated to St. John the Baptist is, 'Ta Cenc' cliffs and Dolmens, the Azure Window, the Inland Sea and the Fungus Rock all in Dwejra, Ramla Bay one of the Maltese islands largest beaches with its unique orange coloured sand and the old part of Victoria are places to note and visit, whilst on the island of Gozo. If you're looking for a destination that offers more than just a suntan, Gozo will definitely deliver beyond your expectations!
Ghasri is a peaceful village situated on the western part of Gozo. From the Village Square, a road leads to the fabulous valley of Wied l-Ghasri which is 2.3km away from property. On the way, there is an old charming chapel dedicated to the Patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Wied l-Ghasri area is a marvellous country walk or cycling site especially in Winter and Spring. The valley ends in the sea, wedged between high cliffs where a secluded little inlet makes it ideal for swimming, snorkelling and diving. Indeed, the sea around Wied l-Ghasri is very popular among divers.
Property is 4km from the nearest Dwejra Bay. The nearest Restaurant is 900 meters from property; Ta Salvina, Lighthouse supermarket is 800 meters from property. The city centre Victoria is 4 km away where you can find Cafe's, Restaurants and a fish market.
The sea around its shores is crystal clear and the hidden rocky coves invite the snorkellers with their safe bathing almost throughout the year.

"relaxing villa in gozo"
had a lovely time at the hamlet no 1. the villa was clean and comfortable and a good place to relax after diving all day. we all enjoyed the pool. a couple of things in the villa needed attention and as soon as we mentioned it, some one was sent round to fix them - couldn't have asked for more. we shall definitely return to stay there

"Great house in relaxed enviroment"
We (two couples) stayed in the house (designed for 6 people) for a week during summer 2013.
We all really enjoyed our stay in this property which really had everything you could have asked for, well equipped in all ways with generous spaces, nice outside area with a pool, sunbeds, Barbeque and dining area and a great sunset view.
The house is located in the country side, even though nothing is far away in Gozo a car is a must to easily get to and from beaches, shops and and other attractions. Closest supermarket is about 1 km away which was a nice morning walk for fresh bread etc.
I would recommend this house for any company looking for a relaxed getaway with high standards making living easy and comfortable as their base for a stay in Gozo.

"Perfect location, beautiful Villa, excellent service."
Arrival made very easy, met a friendly helpful lady "grace" who showed us to the villa and how everything worked.
The next day we needed help with a couple of things they were addressed within
15 mins, outstanding service.
Our only real negative would be that the mattress in the master room wasn't great, but everything else superb!
Location great so peaceful only the sound of church bells and bird song and yet only 5 mins by car to town.
Would definitely recommend to friends and family.

"Lovely property in great condition"
We had four of us in Hamlet no 1 which included two kids aged 10 and 12.
First impressions were great as the property has been very well looked after and appeared almost brand new.
The weather was around 30 degrees every day with a couple of days of cloudy spells and as a result we were greatful for the air conditioning that comes with the property.
The pool isn't massive but depends what you are after. I had two kids who love a pool and it was fine for them but if you had 3 or 4 teenagers with you then it may have felt a little cramped. For me to be able to have a quick dip in between sunbathing it was absolutely fine.
The local area is quiet but you can walk 15-20 mins into the local town/village which has a couple of restaurants and bars. If you want a thriving town on your door step then this isnt for you as its very very quiet but for me it was ok. There are also very well stocked supermarkets within 3 or 4 mins drive. If you like old religious buildings then take your pick there are a few within walking distance and what appear to be almost hundreds on the small island.
Don't forget to take your snorkel gear as there are loads of places around to make use of them. I took the kids to Xlendi where you can stay in relatively shallow water or go out much deeper but with the benefit of being alongide a swimmers rope and steps out up the rocky side of the town.
Wifi in the property was excellent.
