It is located on the outskirts of the traditional village of Gharb with views across the surrounding countryside, just a few minutes drive from the central picturesque square with a couple of local bars and a supermarket.
Dar Ghardira is bright and spacious throughout. It has been converted using modern luxuries, but has traditional Gozitan character. The large living room has high, arched ceilings, a dining area and doors leading to the terrace and swimming pool. The separate, country kitchen is well-equipped with modern appliances.

Dar Ghardira has five attractive bedrooms, which all have ceiling fans. On the ground floor there is a bedroom with three single beds, which has an en-suite bathroom and a bedroom with twin beds, which has access to a bathroom. The master bedroom is on the first floor, it has a double bed, an en-suite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath and patio doors leading to a private balcony with fabulous views. Also on this level are two twin bedrooms, one has an en-suite shower room and the other is next door to a shower room.
Dar Ghardira can accommodate up to eleven adults in the existing bedrooms and two further children under twelve on fold away beds.

Patio doors from the living room lead to a very large sunbathing area, offering excellent rural and distant sea views. There is a covered area with patio furniture and a barbecue, perfect for shaded al-fresco dining. Beautifully maintained sub-tropical plants surround the ‘L’ shaped 7.9 x 4.5 metre swimming pool, which is entered by roman steps.

The Island of Gozo region
Lying about 25 minutes by ferry from its neighbouring island of Malta, tiny Gozo is a rural hideaway that offers tranquillity and respite from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. Gozo is also known as The Island of Calypso, a name originating from the Greek mythological location of Ogygia referred to in Homer's Odyssey. The climate is perfect for an all year round break with mild winters and hot, dry summers made bearable by the cooling sea breeze. The countryside is green and fertile with gentle rolling hills topped with small villages, once defence strongholds against attack.
The Gharb area
Dar Ghardira is situated in the typical Gozitan village of Gharb. There is a small central village square about a three minute drive, with a pharmacy, bakery, supermarket and a bar. A couple of farmhouse style restaurants can be found in the village and the resorts of Xlendi and Marsalforn are a short drive away with a selection of more restaurants and local bars.
