Further details indoors:
This unique house has been featured in two design magazines and has been described as one of the most beautiful houses in Gozo. The owner has taken great care to offer a home from home environment giving it a comfortable ambience with home comforts while retaining the authentic farmhouse features including the natural stone walls and flagstones. It also enjoys complete privacy and there are no noisy neighbouring pools in area. There is a housekeeper, pool man and gardener who looks after the house. The housekeeper can also provide additional cleaning during your holiday and there is also babysitting if required.
Further details outdoors:
The lush mature garden is delightfully shaded by mature palm trees which provides a natural canopy for the outdoor dining table which can seat up to 12 people. Another smaller table seating up to 6 people overlooks the pool area which is unusually large for a Gozo farmhouse. The large pool (measuring 28ft x 15ft) and pool area is Thai inspired in design and is a perfectly serene and relaxing space with a pagoda at one end of the pool overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Parents can also relax in garden area while having lunch and generally as the pool area has now a fence running along one side so children can only access the pool area when the gate is opened.

My family and I have been revisiting Ta' Palma farmhouse on short holiday breaks for the past 9 years and can say this superbly converted authentic Gozitan farmhouse not only is surrounded by... more |

We were so looking forward to staying here until we arrived! The accomodation is disgusting and a health hazard. We lasted two days until we found an alternative villa. We invited the Gozo Tourist Authority to visit who deemed the accomodation totally unsatisfactory. They have now taken this place off their lists until it meets standards. The owner was uncooperative and declined to give us our money back. Our holiday of a lifetime was the holiday from hell! Response: The information written by this client is innacurate and unfounded. She insists on spreading scurrilous rumours about the property online. In an email sent to me in July 2010 she alleged that I had misrepresented the property by stating it has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. This is incorrect. The online description of the property clearly states that the rooms consist of four bedrooms, two bathrooms (one of which is en suite), and two shower rooms. The description is totally accurate and cannot be faulted in any way for any lack of attention in reading the description. When I was informed of her initial complaints about the state of cleanliness of the pool and the farmhouse, I tried to address them at once by sending cleaning personnel onsite the same day. They were turned away by her. Subsequently the nature of her complaints also changed and she brought up items which had not featured at all in her initial queries made to me. She also alleges that I had breached health and safety standards. Again, this is totally untrue. The property is registered with the Malta Tourism Association and has been regularly inspected by all the relevant authorities. I have had hundreds of satisfied guests and consistently positive reviews, all of which are evidence of the absurdity of her claim. Every year we add and maintain the house to keep up the standards. Last year we refurbished a shower room and this year we will continue to do the same. The house is a 400 year old converted farmhouse and I have tried to maintain the original features and appeal of the house hence it having been featured in magazines. It is not 'a sea of sameness' that you find in 5 star hotels but an original designed farmhouse. Perhaps this client's expectations were quite different but I always ask clients to inquire if they have questions about the property. She had plenty of opportunity to do so in our emails. I look forward to welcoming clients who would like to experience a true authentic Gozitan experience in a beautiful setting. It's certainly where I dream of being all summer! |
