This holiday house has been recently converted from a 250 year old farm into a four bedroom luxury house. It is situated in a peaceful area in Gozo's harbour village, called 'Ghajnsielem'

The stone BBQ by the poolside is very accessible from the kitchen, making it easier to go in and out of the kitchen during an outdoor BBQ lunch or dinner. In all, there are three dining areas in this house: The dining area in the kitchen, the separate dining area and the outdoor dining table+chairs by the pool. For an additional cost, a garage nearby is available upon request. ...and feel free to call us for any help to request house maintenance, renting a car, getting a taxi, or even just to suggest a good restaurant!
Further details
During your holiday we will do our best so you can have the best holiday possible. We will help you organize car hire, taxi rides and airport transfers. On your arrival you will have a small foodpack.. just to get you started! Our housekeeper and pool cleaner will visit the house weekly to clean the house and change the bed sheets and towels. If you have extra guests we will provide a folding bed, and if you are visiting with young children we'll provide a baby cot and high chair.
Most of the other rental houses in Gozo are run by real estate companies which usually give less of a personal welcome because they have dozens of houses to take care of and are usually less flexible then us. However this holiday house is family-run and we also live nearby, so while you are with us, you are secured that we will be able to attend to any needs you may have in no time.
This Holiday House is the perfect spot to truly experience the wonders of Gozo. Many visitors are mesmerised by the tranquillity and stillness of Gozo. This house is the best accommodation for your next relaxing holiday. Weather you are a group of friends, a large family or work colleges, come and unwind for a holiday you will treasure forever!

Gozo is a tiny island. It's also a tourist destination, so anything you might need during your visit, would be available and not far away. There are beautiful sandy beaches such as Ramla Bay, scuba diving sites at Azure Window, horse riding clubs at Marsalforn, clubbing at Xlendi, boat-trips to Comino and the Blue Lagoon and any other outdoor activity you would expect from an island in the middle of the Mediterranean. Popular activities in Gozo include, sightseeing, visiting historic buildings, sun-bathing, stargazing and watching the world go by! And while you're here, do try some of Gozo's fine restaurants - perfect for al fresco dining on a warm Gozitan evening! The islands of Malta and Gozo are well connected. There is a ferry trip every 30 minutes during the day and every hour during the night. The ferry trip is 25 minutes long.
The Ghajnsielem area
Gozo is often called 'The Island of Myths, Mystery and Exquisite Scenery'. When you leave the mainland and come to Gozo by ferry, you will dock into Gozo's harbour village, which is called 'Ghajnsielem'. Our house is in the same village. In fact it takes less then 5 minutes to arrive home after the ferry trip. Here you will have a true village-life experience as you will be living surrounded by our friendly locals. Getting to the house is easy. We normally suggest to our visitors to book an airport mini-van transfer that will take you from the airport in Malta, to the house in Gozo. We can send you contact details of a company that can provide this service. If you want to rent a car while in Gozo you can also book it with the same company. This Holiday House is mostly popular with Europeans, especially from northern countries were it's difficult to get a tan!
Malta is made up of two islands. The large island is called Malta and the smaller island is called Gozo.
Malta has only one airport. It is on the large island and our farmhouse is on the smaller island (Gozo). To travel between the islands you would need to use 'The Gozo Ferry'. The ferry trip only takes 25 minutes. (There's a trip every 30mins during the day, and every hour during the night.)
Getting to the house is easy. We normally suggest to our visitors to book an airport mini-van transfer that will take you from the airport in Malta, to the house in Gozo. We can send you contact details of a company that can provide this service. If you want to rent a car while in Gozo you can also book it with the same company. Renting a car in Gozo is normally cheaper then renting it from the airport.
This Holiday House is only a 4 minute car ride away from the ferry point in Gozo.

The farmhouse on Gozo, was an incredible place to live. The house is so charming, lovely and more than big enough for all of us, 7 persons. If You want a quiet holiday, feeling that it is only You and the locals, then Gozo is the place. And Il Pelican the house!! We did really feel that we were locals living in the center with only a few hundred meters to nice restaurants and shops. The hosts organized transport for us from the airport, helped us renting a jeep, a car is important to have there if You want to see Gozo as it is. A beautiful island totally unspoiled. The hosts did complete this holiday, constantly helping us with what ever needed and more than that Actually we don`t want to recommend this house since we want this place to be our own secret :-) But this is a pearl of a house and an island so this has to be shared with others. |

We had a great time at this villa. The hosts were very welcoming and helped organise the airport transfers and hire cars. We were made to feel comfortable from the moment we booked the villa. It was a lovely experience for all. The villa was a perfect retreat. As the location was quiet and away from the main tourists locations. No place is far in Gozo. It is tiny island with very friendly residents and empty beaches. We couldn't ask for a more perfect destination to visit. All the children loved it there. We did not get to visit all the churches on the island as young children don't really appreciate architecture but we did go to all the beaches and sample the local cusine. Restaurants were cheap providing good quality home cooked food with a friendly service. I would recommend this villa because the hosts were so lovely - great ambassabors for Gozo! Thanks Remo, Emy and family for a wonderful stress free holiday. |
