Villa Romantic is a pretty mews villa, in the village of Drapanos. The pool is a stroll from the front door and loungers are supplied as is all the necessities of holiday life. The gallery bedroom is delightful with a small balcony which overlooks the White Mountains. The villa has a well equipped kitchen, with fridge freezer, electric cooker, toaster etc. It also has a large shower room. The villa has a very spacious feel to it.
The villa is furnished throughout with quality Cretian wooden furniture, and there is also a large sofa bed which will easily seat four which flattens out into a small double bed. It has a full frontal view of Drapanos mountain, as slight sea view is visible from the front door, but the seaside resort of Almerida is only a six minute drive down the mountain.
The shared pool is a very relaxing place to be with the mountain behind you. It is shared with 5 other villas so is never crowded. Romantic is a short stroll from a shop which supplies all things, and the local taverna is a five minute walk.
I stay at this villa regularly the atmosphere afforded to it by Drapanos mountain is very special. No one has stayed at the villa and not liked it. The property is also air conditioned for your comfort.

The Crete region
The White Mountains dominate this area of sandy beaches and traditional villages. The area is becoming more developed and tourist facilities more sophisticated whilst retaining it's Greek atmosphere.
The large bay that makes up the seaside resorts of Almirida, Kalives and Kalami has many separate sandy beaches, usually with full facilities. All of these beaches are safe for children because they shelve very gently into the sea.
There are plenty of good quality, reasonably priced tavernas at or near the beaches. Kalives is a working village as well as being a tourist destination so you will find many local shops as well as a fairly big Inka supermarket. Banking, post office and petrol station facilities are available in Kalives and in Vamos.
Georgioupoli area
The cosmopolitan town of Chania has been voted the most beautiful on Crete and rightly so, with the White Mountains as a backdrop, its Venetian harbour, museums, fascinating indoor market and an old quarter of narrow streets packed with interesting shops, Chania offers something for most visitors.
It is a vibrant lively town steeped in Byzantine, Venetian and Turkish history. The harbour area is a great place to sit and watch the world go by or you may like to try the park on Tzanakaki Street where there is a popular cafe tucked away in the trees.
Chania is easily accessible from all of our properties either by bus, taxi or car.
How to get there
Thomsonfly and Thomascook fly direct to Crete.
Olympic also fly to Crete but with a stop/transfer in Athens.

*cleaning of the villa on departure
A non-refundable deposit of 10% (minimum £50.00 per week) is required to secure your reservation. A provisional booking will be held for 24 hours so that you can arrange your flights and car hire if necessary.
Balance payments are expected 6 weeks prior to arrival.
Payment is accepted by cash or by cheque. Details will be sent in your confirmation letter.
Should you wish to make any amendments to your booking we will endeavour to fulfil your requirements but an admin charge will be made for this. We cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate you.
