Villa Olivia is the largest 2 bedroomed Villa on Kournas Beach available to rent!
Set in a local Greek area the Vila was completed in 2007. It provides spectacular panoramic views of the sea and mountain from the large West facing balcony. This 2 bedroom villa overlooks the large 80sq.m pool which also has a separate shallow area for toddlers and small children. Spacious and fully equipped.
Relax by the pool or on one of the patio's and enjoy the mountain views. Only a 5 minute drive to the beautiful Georgioupoli beach and also to the centre of the quaint fishing village of Georgioupoli. Kavros is only 2km away for bars, shops and restuarents. 20 mins drive to Rethymno and 35 mins drive to Chania. The picturesque famous Lake Kournas is also only 10 mins drive away from Villa Olivia.

Villa Olivia is set on the North coast of this beautiful Island were you can really see how the locals live. Positioned in the middle of lots of local villages, take a 5 minute drive and experience local life for yourself!
Georgioupoli area
Villa Olivia is only 5 mins drive to an abundance of shops, bars and restaurants which are situated in the quaint fishing village of Georgioupoli. Kavros, less than 5 mins drive has a local bakery, butchers, shops, bars and restaurants. Crete's largest fresh water Lake Kournas, said to be bottomless is only 10 mins away - you can hire a pedalo and swim looking for fresh water turtles and fish. Also about 10 mins away is a dive club were you can hire all equipment and book diving trips.
How to get there
Fly to Heraklion or Chania from most UK airports. Chania is only 35mins away from Villa Olivia. Heraklion is 1 hr 15 mins drive along the coastal road to Villa Olivia. Car hire can be arranged through www.zorbasrentacar.gr who are very friendly and reliable. Mention my name when booking the car and you will get some discount! Fully equipped modern kitchen with dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, etc. Patio doors lead to undercover patio and garden. Rattan table and chairs provided for outside eating. Living Rooms: Spacious modern lounge with dining area has a 2 and 3 seater leather settee, extending dining table and 6 chairs, satellite TV, DVD, mini Hi-fi, underfloor heating and open fire for winter months. Two sets of patio doors lead undercover or pool patio. Various board games, DVDs, CDs and books are provided. Bath towels and linen are provided in this luxury villa. The villa will be cleaned before your arrival. Air-conditioning is provided in the two bedrooms. Hot water is produced by solar power, backed by electricity. Underfloor heating is provided in the lounge, kitchen and 1st floor bathroom.
High chair and cots can be provided if required for a small additional fee of approximatly 10 euro per week. The Villa is suitable for people who have difficulty climing stairs as the villa is equipped with a ground floor bedroom and bathroom.
Further details outdoors: The large 80sq.m swimming pool with separate area for toddlers and small children is cleaned and maintained on a daily basis, it is also shared with 4 other dwellings. Sunbeds and parasol are provided and there is plenty of space around the villa and its pool for sunbathing and shade. The villa includes a garden to front, side and back. Three patios, one providing shade with out door rattan table and chairs, a large west facing balcony with sea and mountain views over looking the pool also has 2 additional sunbeds and outdoor table and chairs for your comfort and private sun bathing. Fabulous views of the mountains can be seen from the pool and patio areas.
Coast/Beach The golden sandy beach stretching 6km to Georgioupoli is only 600m away from the Villa, a 6 minute walk will take you to this beautiful beach. It is excellent for children as lifeguards patrol the beach regularly and the sea remains shallow for quite a distance. Along this quiet beach several family run Tavernas provide traditional Greek dishes, ice-creams and drinks etc.

Welcome pack will be provided. Mid week cleaning can be arranged. High chairs and cots available upon request for a small fee. Ground floor bathroom and bedroom for people who find it dificult to climb the stairs. We have access to several Villa's on the site subject to availability should you wish to holiday with friends or family.

I have to say that when we walked through the door of your villa it was even better than the pictures. The complex was great and the views to the mountains and sea were an added bonus.
