A spacious two bedroom two storey property with shared pool!

Kournas Beach is ideally situated by the stunning Kournas lake and Kavros area of Crete, close to the popular holiday port of Georgioupolis with easy acces to Rethymnon and surrounding area.
Located in the village of Asproulianos, close to Kavros, which is a large village containing many tavernas, bakeries, supermarkets, internet cafes and caters for all holiday needs.

Villa Marian has two bedrooms (fully air-conditioned) with two double beds, fitted wardrobes and black out shutters too all windows, in addition there is sofa bed in the living room. There is single w/c on the ground floor and a large bath with shower over on the first floor. Villa Marian has a fully fitted kitchen including a electric hob/oven, fridge and dishwasher. Villa Marian boasts three large outside verandas with furniture on two.

Parking is provided to the rear.

Kournas Beach is a luxury development of private villas with shady patios divided by stone walls, sharing private pools between 6 properties, 10 mins walk from the 6km long sandy beach gently sloping beach(ideal for children and the elderly).

The first floor veranda is part coved to escape from the sun and has soft sitting for 4 with a coffee table. The ground floor varanda has two sun lounges.

The Crete region

Crete is the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean and by far the largest and longest of all Greek islands. With a size of just under 8,500 square kilometres, that is 260 km across and between 15 and 60 km wide, this strikingly elongated island boasts 1,000 km of coastline.
The three main towns of Chania, Rethymno, Heraklion.

Kournas village but a short drive from Rethymnon (20 Mins), a Venetian port with walled old town and marina overlooked by the once fortified castle. Chania is around 40 mins drive and Heraklion just under one hour away.

The Georgioupoli / Kournas Lake area

Villa Marian is situated in a lovely quiet area, just minutes from the beach. Lake Kournas (the only freshwater lake in Crete) is within 4km and the White Mountains provide a superb backdrop. This area is really uncommercialised and is ideal for a quiet, relaxing holiday.

The beautiful fishing village of Georgopoulis is 4km away, where you can find numerous tavernas, bars and shops. This is very lively at night with its bustling atmosphere and easy way of life.

On the beach and along the coast road, there are many tavernas and beach bars within 5-10kms. These all offer well priced food and drink from simple (but lovely) local cuisine to meals that will appeal to everyone.

There are 2 supermarkets within 3 minutes of the house which sell all the items that you would need. There are also lovely little gift shops which sell all manner of local crafts and produce.
