About the home

The property is Situated in a tiny, quiet, rural hamlet just 1 km from the centre of the village of Gemozac surrounded by Sunflowers and Vineyards. The beaches of Royan are just a 20 minute drive away wth plenty of other beaches to discover including surf beaches a little further afield. Cognac is 40 minutes away and the historic town of Sainte just 30 mins away.

“The perfect antidote to life in Sout East England” We LOVED our stay here, from the spacious and charming accommodation to the fields of sunflowers surrounding the house, it really was the perfect place to relax and unwind. We hope to return soon.

“A wonderful property – we had a fantastic holiday!” This was the first time we rented a property directly through the owner and so were initially a little wary... but we needn't have been! The owner was extremely helpful prior to us going, and the property was absolutely fantastic - it was just perfect for our family. The house was beautiful, a lovely old french farmhouse, surrounded by sunflower fields, grapevines and it was very peaceful. The children loved the games room, the garden and the pool, it was great being able to have breakfast and BBQ's outside! There were only the four of us so we were spolit for space, it was great! Due to the location we were able to drive out to some fantastic beaches and visit local towns such as Royan and Cognac etc. The supermarket was only a 10 minute drive away, and it was so nice to be able to buy bread and produce (not to mention wine!) from the local shops and markets. Myself and my family had a truly wonderful and memorable two week stay at 'The Glovers', and would recommend it to anyone who is looking to rent a property in France!
