Why pay for two people when you are travelling alone? Why stay in Melbourne when you can stay by the bay, just minutes from Geelong which is the gateway to the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula and only an hour from Melbourne.

This home has two separate, completely self contained living levels - only the ground floor will be available to guests.

The ground floor apartment has two bedrooms which sleep 4. The master bedroom, with walk-in robe and ensuite, has a king size bed which can be separated in to two single beds. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is a shower room, separate toilet and separate powder room for guests in the second bedroom.

There is a courtyard on the north side of the house with a table and seating for 8.

The home is opposite acres of public parkland and sports ovals and the historic bluestone Customs House. It is located in Rippleside which is about 5 minutes north of the Geelong city centre, It is 300m from the St Helens marina and beach, 8 minutes walk to the Rippleside Park, 5 minutes walk to the North Geelong Station and a stunning 30 minute walk along the esplanade to Geelong's pier, cafes, and eastern beach.

The open plan living, dining, kitchen areas are north facing - as is the apartment master bedroom.

The house, with its north orientation, has a passive solar design to reduce energy consumption. All windows are double glazed and toilets are plumbed to water tanks.

This little pocket is an hour from Melbourne, 20 minutes to the Great Ocean Road, 15 minutes to the beautiful Bellarine Peninsula wine region, eateries and beaches, the Blues Train, an adventure park, less than an hour from the famous Brae Restaurant in Birregurra and 3 minutes from the freeway network which leads to anywhere you would like to go in Australia. A ferry from Queenscliff (25 minutes away) to Sorrento transports people and vehicles to the Mornington Peninsula on the other side of Port Phillip Bay.

I do not include a charge for cleaning so, apart from used linen, I expect it to be left as you found it when you arrived.

Please remove stilettos and hard soled shoes.

This is a non-smoking property.

If travelling by car, take the Melbourne Road off the freeway instead of continuing on the Geelong bypass. Travel about 9 kms. Drive over the railway lines and drive for about 600 m then turn left at the second set of traffic lights. You will be in Swinburne Street.

If travelling by train, get off at the North Geelong station. Walk north (back towards Melbourne) for about 250 m. Cross the road at the traffic lights to head east towards the water. You will be in Swinburne Street.

Geelong region is on the coast. It is close to beautiful beaches, wonderful wineries with views over the bay, golf courses, the world renowned Great Ocean Road and freeway network. A ferry trip takes passengers and vehicles to the Mornington Peninsula on the other side of Port Phillip Bay. This is an ideal location for those who would like to stay in the Geelong area.

Geelong is a large regional Victorian city with all the retail, dining, cultural, sporting and entertainment opportunities and events of a major city.
