The house is furnished to a very high standard with all mod cons and comfortable beds! It has a covered terrace for outdoor dining and a balcony with amazing views. A flight of steps leads down from garden to large,quiet communal pool below.
The living area is spacious and airy, with gas central heating when needed and ceiling fans in all bedrooms. The house is great for families with nearby safe sandy beaches at Denia and Javea, and Benidorm 30 mins drive away with its variety of theme, nature and water parks.

The house has 3 double bedrooms. Bedroom 1 has a dressing area and balcony, with an extra large double bed which converts into 2 singles on request. Bedroom 2 has a single bed with pull out bed underneath, which can sleep a small adult or child. There is also a travel cot available (though no cot linen). Bedroom 3 has two single beds. Bedlinen and towels (including beach/pool towels) are included in the rental.

The garden is south facing with sunloungers and chairs. The terrace has a large dining table and 6 chairs. From the garden there are fantastic views of the surrounding countryside and mountains (including the famous Montgo 'elephant' mountain) and the sea at Javea. On a clear day you can just pick out Ibiza in the distance!
We require a non returnable deposit of £200 to secure any reservation, and the balance along with £100 security bond is payable 8 weeks prior to arrival. The security bond is returned after we have checked the house for damage, breakages etc.
Please note that we accept reservations for less than one week but have to charge an additional housekeeping fee, as our costs for preparing/cleaning the house are the same for 3 nights as for a full week. On the other hand, if you stay for 3 weeks or more we offer a discount because our housekeeping costs are less (unless you ask for our cleaners to come in during your stay, which can be arranged).
We always leave a few basic provisions in the house but can provide a full welcome pack on request. This costs Euros 20, payable to our housekeeper on arrival.
The Costa Blanca/Valencia region
The house is situated on a hillside overlooking mountains, especially the beautiful Montgo mountain, and in the distance the sea at Javea. The nearest village Gata de Gorgos remains typically Spanish and is famed for its rural crafts, especially basketwork. It has several restaurants and bars.
There is a large new commercial centre and bowling alley 5kms away; the beautiful sandy beaches at Javea and Denia are about 15 mins drive. Benidorm with its theme parks Terra Mitica, Mundomar (sealife) and Aqualandia (water park) are about 30 mins from here.
Inland there are many rural walks and spectacular drives over mountain passes, and we keep books outlining these in the house. There is a 18 hole course at La Sella 15 mins away and a 9 hole at Javea; it is a golfers' paradise with numerous courses less than an hour away.
Valencia and Alicante cities are both worth a visit and easily accessible by car or by train/bus from nearby stations. There are several riding stables in the area.
Gata de Gorgos
The house is on the edge of a quiet residential 'urbanisacion' (Gata Residencial) above the main village of Gata de Gorgos. You can walk into the village via a hillside track-great going down, but harder work coming back up!
The village has a variety of shops, supermarkets, a weekly market, bars and restaurants. There is a very pleasant walk along the gorge of the river Gorgos.
You will need a car to get out and about to really enjoy this beautiful region.
