Home description
This is an end terrace townhouse located just 5 minutes walk to Garrucha beach. It is quiet and peaceful, yet only a short car or bus ride into the livelier resort of Mojacar. The house has easy access to all local amenities, including the local market for all your fresh produce as well as holiday bargains by day as well as the night market which opens at certain times of the year along the harbour. Garrucha village is a fishing port where you will find lots of excellant fish restaurants. The walk from our house along the promenade into Garrucha itself is beautiful. For families you will find a few play areas along the way too!.
The house benefits from the use of the communal pools, 2 adult and 1 children's pool within a stones throw of your doorstep. We have a pretty front veranda with table and chairs for you to just sit and relax or perhaps have your meals. On the ground floor you have the living area which is fully equipped leading into the kitchen. On the first floor is a double bedroom and a twin bedroom plus a bathroom with a full size bath and shower. A travel cot/ highchair is available. Another set of stairs and you are then on the sunroof with wooden garden furniture to use to relax and take in the stunning mountain views. A Bar B Q is on the roof for your use too.

The Costa de Almeria region
Almeria has some 200 miles of coastline and is only 100 miles from North Africa which effectively creates the warmest weather in Spain all year round.
Almeria has mountains every way you turn which provide excellent back drops for those holiday snaps although you will not find any high rise buildings etc here because this area is the least developed coastal region in the whole of Spain.
Garrucha / Fuente Mar area
Garrucha is a fishing harbour that is totally unspoilt and has an authentic Spanish feel that has not been spoilt. There are lots of fish restaurants in the area. The beach is only a 5 minute walk away from our house and the water park is about a ten minute car journey and well worth visiting whether you are a family or not. The local golf courses offer some of Spain's finest, you will not be disappointed.
How to get there
The nearest airport is Almeria - Ryanair, Easyjet and Monarch all fly from the UK. The flight is 2hours 20 minutes from the UK.
The nearest motorway is Junction 525 via del Mediteraneo - 7 kilometres. You can hire a car from any of the main companies that are actually based in the arrivals lounge within Almeria airport i.e Premier car Hire. The journey from the airport to our property is approximately 1 hour.
Should you wish to book a taxi to pick you up upon arrival at the airport, please let us know and we can organise this for you. It really is very easy to book a flight, hire and car and off you go!!!

Further details indoors: The house is very pretty, painted in white with a bougainvillea flowering climber trailing up and over the pagoda. The gardens are very well kept as are the swimming pools, each having a life guard present during the pool's opening times. The supermarket is only a short walk away, as is the take away tapas/ chicken bar which can be very handy. We have tried to make our house a welcoming home from home. For families you can gladly use the toys and inflatable paddling pool during your stay. There is a safety gate too dividing the kitchen and living areas. In the living area there are 2 settee's, a full size dining table and 6 chairs, a sideboard with a T.V (inc : sky channels), DVD/CD players. Books, video's and DVDs are also on offer for your use. The kitchen is very well equipped, plus you will find in the under stairs cupboard a cool box, beach mats, bucket and spades, golf clubs, fishing rod which can all be used at no extra cost. All rooms have a ceiling fan for your comfort. The double bedroom has a wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside lights, TV, mirror, hair dryer. The twin room has the same. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower, W.C, Bidet, laundry bin, vanity unit. All bed linen, tea towels and bathroom towels are supplied. There are 2 travel safety gates for children. On the sunroof is a wooden table and reclining chairs with cushions / parasol plus a Bar B Q for your use. It really is a sun trap by day and a relaxing place to watch the sun go down by the evening whilst enjoying a meal or just a quiet drink. If you need any help whilst staying at our house we will porvide you with a friends phone number who would be happy to assist you with anything you may need to know or any help you may require.
Further details outdoors: There is a set of golf clubs and a fishing rod available at the house for your use if required. Some of Spains finest golf courses are only a short car journey away.

Should you require a "Welcome Pack" on your arrival, we can arrange this for you at an extra charge. It would include bread, water, milk, ham, cheese, spread, orange and anything else that you request.
The house will be thoroughly cleaned before your arrival, beds will be made and bathroom towels will be supplied. If you want to book for two weeks then we wil arrange for the bedlinen to be changed half way through your stay if you would like us to for an extra charge of 25 euros or of course you can use the washing machine and change the beds etc yourself.

Conditions
We will require 25% of the total booking fee in advance and the balance to be paid 6 weeks before you are due to travel. If your booking is a late booking then we will liaise over payment.

The cleaning is included in our weekly rate. If you require a "Welcome Pack" upon your arrival this will be subject to an additional charge. Should you be staying for longer than a week and require a change of bedding etc, we can either arrange for someone to call on you for an extra charge of 25 euro's or you are welcome to change the beds etc yourself using the linen available at the house.
On confirmation that you would like to book with us, a booking contract will be posted/e.mailed to you for completion and to be returned to us. We would politely request payment in sterling of 25% of the total booking fee to be sent with this, with the remainder to be paid in full 6 weeks before you are due to depart for your holiday. If however, your booking is less than 6 weeks to the time you travel then we will require full payment. Also, a holding cheque of £100 is required should there be any damage to the property. We will not cash this cheque. Upon your departure, once the house has been checked all being well we will post the cheque back to you however, should there be any damage then we will bank the cheque. Once we have received your contract/monies we will forward the house keys and also a pack which we hope will give you some useful information about our house and local knowledge including directions if you are hiring a car and driving from Almeria Airport to our house.
