A luxury apartment consisting of living room, bedroom, kitchen, shower room attached to Villa Oleandro. Casa Lavanda is an independant wing attached to Villa Oleandro with a wealth of outdoor space and dining areas with views to the Adriatic. The accommodation provides ample outside living space on three large terraces.

The Grass Terrace fronts the house and has a private area for our guests to sunbathe, a permanent marble-topped table for dining that in high summer enjoys sun at breakfast, shade until late afternoon when the sun returns with the full warmth of the sunset in the evening and of course there is a barbecue. The well-appointed apartment has a fully fitted kitchen (electric oven, gas hob, refrigerator, washing machine and dining table - full inventory available on request.

Stairs from the Grass Terrace lead to the Sun Terrace with further space for dining & sunbathing and steps from the Sun Terrace lead onto the Pool Terrace. We do not have a permanent pool yet (bureacracy problem!), but in summer we have a splash pool to cool down in. To the side of the Pool Terrace is an informal terrace where we like to play Bocce (Boules or Petanque).

The property is at 100 metres above sea-level and about 2km from the beautiful bay of Calenella. Set in 4 hectares of olive and woodland we have uninterrupted views to the Adriatic. Shops markets & restaurants can be found in nearby Vico del Gargano, Rodi Gargano, Peschici and along the vast coastline.

Villa Oleandro is called a toretta (a little castle) by many locals because of its prominent position overlooking the valley that passes from the Foresta Umbra down to the Bay of Calenella.

We farm 280 olive trees producing Extra Virgin Olive Oil and Villa Oleandro is surrounded by a sea of olive trees and pine woods.

The climate is hot in high summer (June to August). The winter months of January and February can be quite cold, but interspersed with beautiful days and warm temperatures. The rest of the year can be anything in between.

Conditions

The property is suitable for adults only although we will consider young teenagers or babies at your request. If you want to bring a pet contact us to discuss it.

We can be flexible with bookings; i.e. we will allow stays that are not Saturday to Saturday (after all the cheapest Ryanair flights are mid-week). So please do enquire about availablity.

We will also provide you with a food & drink hamper on arrival and you will NOT need to buy incidental cooking items such as olive oil, vineager, salt, pepper and so on - these will be provided.
