Home description
This is a unique opportunity for nature lovers, who do not want to choose between a relaxing holiday on a beautiful beach and the refreshing breeze of mountains and forests.
Peschici, in Parco Nazionale del Gargano, is the perfect solution for those ‘pleasure seekers’ who want to spend some time in contact with nature, experiencing all different kind of park panoramic views and animals, and some other just lingering close to a deep blue sea.
In the bay of Peschici, on the hill of “Ia Lillo”, there are the 5 “Tom Apartments”, situated 80 m. far from the sea and held directly by the owners.
Tom apartments are very quiet and cosy, ideal places for families or people who love sea and want to spend all day long on the beach. While you are sitting in a deck chair on the patio sipping a fresh drink, you are dazzled by the white village on the cliff in front of you. It is a peaceful place where you can hear the chirping sound of cicadas and smell the fragrance of rosemary.
If you are in the mood for something more vivacious, a nice 20 minutes walk or a short drive will lead you to restaurants, shops, wine bars of the centre of Peschici. Here you can have fun with all the young people drinking and strolling until late at night . If you resist till 2 o’clock in the morning or more, you can be one of the first who have traditional Italian breakfast with the typical “cornetti caldi e cappuccino” in one of the different bars of the “Corso” (Peschici’s main street)
At Tom’s there are “one bedroom apartments sleeping 2”, and “two bedrooms apartments sleeping 4” (additional beds possible in both solutions). Fully equipped kitchen corner with fridge, 4 burners. Bathroom with shower and veranda with table and chairs. On the terrace there is also an oven/barbeque where you can cook your pizzas and steaks. If you do not want to go to the beach you can get sun tunned on solarium. Parking nearby.

The Puglia/Molise region
Apulia is famous for being the place where the sound of the sea and the wind are coupled with the unique, breathtaking panorama of Gargano, a hilly promontory in the north of the region.
In Gargano, the nature is strong, wild and very varied: terraced fields, olive plantations, lemons and oranges orchards, pines, lakes, steep white coast alternating with large sandy shores, small bays, deep inlets, caves and marine cliffs. Gargano is also a 120.000 hectares National Park with forests, lagoons, marine reserves and mountains.
Every season is worth a visit. Choose spring if you love nature and want to look for wild asparagus and for orchids, the queens of the flower kingdom. On the hills of Gargano there is orchids highest concentration in Europe: 85 species with a stunning range of colours. Choose summer if you love sea, beaches, music, people; autumn if you appreciate mushrooms, good fish, tranquillity and silence. In spring and still in autumn the weather is mild: you can have nice swims in the sea and get suntanned. And what about food all year round ? The local cuisine, the typical “cucina mediterranea” is rich and varied and includes genuine flavours such as olive oil, caciocavallo and pecorino cheese, fish, tomatoes, handmade pasta….
Gargano / Peschici area
Peschici and Gargano are the places you will enjoy the most if you want to plunge into the southern Italian atmosphere. Peschici is called the “gem” of Gargano, it is a cliff-top village which dates back to 950 A.D.. The village itself is a cumulous of white low houses scattered against the rock. From afar you are dazzled by the white houses in the sun; at night the village looks like a “crib”…The palette of many artists ( Conversano, Bortoluzzi) painted the bluish- green of the sea, the blue sky and the green Aleppo pines leaning over the water. At the foot of Peschici is a white sandy bay and, if you hire a boat, you discover lonely romantic little beaches. Excursion boats take you to “grotte” and to Tremiti islands, a paradise for divers. If you love history and art Trulli di Alberobello, Grotte di Castellana, Castel del Monte, Bari, Lecce and its baroque, Sassi di Matera are within an easy reach. And, why not, you can reach Naples with a 4 hours’ drive!

Ms Bloch thought the weather was cold but I thought it was warm. The accommodation was fine You should emphasise in your advertisement that Peschici/ gargano is a good out of season destination. A lot of English go on holiday at easter to warmer climes you good get some bookings at this time Kevin Broad
We had a wonderful time in Peschici. The holiday house (Tom's apartment) was better than we expected and the surroundings were beautiful. No complaints about that and I cannot think of any suggestions which would improved our stay. Greetings, Roel Vaessen
