This town house apartment is close to everything you may want for either the laidback retreat, or an active holiday. Within minutes walking distance you'll find the daily fruit market, shops of all kinds and a variety of restaurants and bars offering the splendid results of the Garganic "cuochi" - or chefs.

This two floor apartment holds much higher technical and aesthetic qualities than in most self catering entities in Peschici. Close to everything you would want on your time off.

Mirapoli has been carefully decorated and equipped, during winter and spring 2009. Holding two master bedrooms and a separate tower-bed bedroom. Two airy and delicate bathrooms with seaview, well equipped kitchen area with dining table and livingroom with a sofabed, with direct access to the 35 sqm roof terrace.

Some 10 minutes cosy walk through Centro Storico to the finest sandy beaches ever to be seen, with very good fishing options on the wavebreakers of the port of Peschici. From the port of Peschici there are dayly excursions to Isole Tremiti and sea-cave tours.

The Garganic Peninsula is listed on an exclusive list of cultural heritage areas of Europe. Covering religion, arts, handicrafts, biology, zoology and folkloristic heritage. Several unique specimens of orchids are found here, and more than 2000 zoological species that are unique to the area.

Conditions

A 20% deposit is required to confirm the lease, the remainder to be paid within two weeks prior to the stay.

Bedlinen, towels, beach towels and kitchen linen available at 10 Euros per person, in addition to the basic lease.

The Puglia/Molise region

Areas surrounding the village of Peschici include a National park with hills reaching up to 1.000 m. Cozy 5 min. walk through the old town to a wonderful sandy beach. Excellent area for fishing, diving, hiking, offroad bicycling and boat excursions. Enchanting village, with many excellent restaurants, a daily produce market and a full assortment of shops.

The Garganic Peninsula is listed on an exclusive list of cultural heritage areas of Europe. Covering centennials of religion, arts, handicrafts, biology, zoology and folkloristic heritage. Several unique specimens of orchids are found here, and more than 2000 zoological species that are unique to the area.

Not to forget the Holy Padre Pio who worked out of this area and recently had an enormeous and architechtural wonder for worship named after him in the mountains of the Garganic Peninsula.

The climate is warm (norther european summer temperature) normally between 15th april until the end of October.

The Gargano / Peschici area

Being protected by the Holy St Elia, the village has its major religious spectacle in the period between 17th and 22nd July, but you will find both this village and the surrounding villages in celebrating both their own and any catholic or worldly celebrity at any occasion throughout the year. In fact you would find it hard not to find any spectacle of cultural, populistic og religious carachter going on in the summer season in this region.

Ryanair covers both Pescara and Bari, both in a driving distance of 2,5 hrs from the house. From Rome and Napels the distance is 3,5 to 4 hrs drive.

The best deals you can often get on car hire is with Maggiore, and they normally have the shortest waiting line when Ryanair flights arrive..

From Bari and Pescara you can also use train service www.trenitalia.it, stopping at San Severo and choose the private train/bus line to Peschici http://www.ferroviedelgargano.com/, or use taxi service from San Severo (cuts the travel with an hour).

“The perfect appartment!” We, a family of parents, 2 teenage children (16 and 19) and 2 teenage friends, stayed at Mirapoli one week in july. The flat was not easy to find initially, but with the willing help of the caretaker it all sorted out nicely. The flat itself is just great! It is air condioned in every room, it is light and spacious. It has a fantastic large roof terrace with a great view to the surroundings and to the sea. It is well equipped with almost all you can need. The bed rooms are very well silenced so that you could sleep undisturbed at night. The neigbours were just great. The last night we were even invited in to the sweet old lady on the ground floor and she offered home made limoncello and sweets. The neigbourhood is rustic, you are not at Lake Garda - thanks for THAT! Here, there are cats and dogs and litter in the streets and it all feels very genuine italian. The people that you meet in shops, at the beach, in restaurants are friendly and helpful. You feel very welcome and safe at all times. The town is of perfect size, it offers all you can need for a couple of weeks. It has both private and public beaches even though the boats-for-hire guys have occupied most of the public one - but you can always dive from the pier. The teenagers loved it, the 16 year old girls were taken out by the pizza baker boy from the restaurant next door and they had a great time with him and his friends at THAT also felt safe. I reccommend warmly Mirapoli and Peschici to all you Italia-lovers out there, we will return!
