Our house is located on the edge of small picturesque village, yet only short drive from Gandia town and some of the best mediterenean beaches. There is easy access to all amenities and the village hosts a small supermarket and bars serving lunch and evening meals, a glorious swimming pool is open throughout the summer months. Ideal base for cycling and motorbiking holiday or training. Easy travel to Valencia for science parks and Grand Prix race circuit
The house benefits from balconies with loungers and scenic views, also a patio garden furnished with tables, chairs and barbecue for easy alfresco dining and relaxation. With three double bedrooms, two en suites and ample living space the house is ideal for families or couples, with plenty in the surrounding area to see and do during your stay

Spacious comfortable accommodation with three double bedrooms and extra sleeping on sofa bed if required. Fully equipped for eight persons
Spacious kitchen-diner, patio doors leading onto terrace and garden. Kitchen equipped with additional electrical items.
Large comfortable lounge including bed settee to provide additional sleeping capacity. A wood burner for chillier evenings creates a warm and cosy atmosphere. Patio doors displaying views over orange groves
3 large bedrooms with plentiful wardrobe space, drawers, hair-dryer, alarm clocks. Two bedrooms have en suite facilities, master has walk in shower, second (main bathroom) has bath with overhead shower. The main bathroom can be used as a second en suite.

All balconies and the terrace have splendid views. Balcony leading from master bedroom has seating for relaxation
Patio garden has table and seating for eight persons and a large parasol for shade when required. A brick barbecue provides easy cooking.
There is plenty of parking for more than one car outside the house and the garage provides secure parking for cars, motorcycles and cycles.
Close to the house is a quiet planted garden with seating and small children's play area.

Friendly English-speaking neighbour next door to answer any questions and provide support if required.
Conditions
Strictly no smoking except on the balcony or in the garden
Refundable breakages deposit of £150 required on arrival, to be refunded within two weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).
Deposit of 25% of rental fee to secure booking.
Full balance to be paid six weeks prior to arrival date.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region


Some of the best mediteranean beaches are found in this uppermost area of the Costa Blanca. They have not yet experienced the popularity with British people, however this is growing and is a very popular area for Spanish holidaymakers.The coastline has miles of golden sand beaches all with their own attraction. Further south is Calpe the home to fresh fish restaurants. The Mediterranean Highway (N332) is a few minutes drive from the house and motorway approx 15 minutes
The cosmopolitan city of Valencia is approx. 50 minutes drive or there is a very efficient train service from Gandia direct to the city centre. Visit the state of the ark Science Park, the Historic Bullring and Gates to the City that stopped the Moors advancing further into Europe. Take an open top bus tour to view the mix of modern and historic architecture before dining on Paella. Valencia now hosts the European Street Grandprix in August and the port area has been revitalised to host the Americas Cup. The roads and conditions make the area very popular for cycling and motorbiking.
The area has stunning views both by road and other means. Take in the views whilst driving to historic Xativa, only an hour away, visit the castle. Take a drive to Benidorm but the scenic route through the mountains, experience swimming in fresh water falls, visit a vineyard, try the wine before you purchase at a Bodega. Further down the coast, Denia is an attractive sea town and port where you can catch a ferry to the Balearic Islands.

The Gandia / Alfauir area
Gandia is a vibrant city and hosts many city attractions. The city steeps in history, visit the cathedral or take refreshments in the Cathedral Square. Museums, shops, bars, restaurants , weekly market, and nigh life, the choice is yours. A new shopping and restaurant development on the edge of the city, La Vital, also has bowling and amusements.
Gandia's immaculate beach (Playa) has shops, restaurants, bars, watersports and numerous sporting activities to keep you busy or relaxed the whole day. When evening falls and the night begins Gandia Playa really comes to life in the Spanish way.
Alfauir village can provide everything you need for a holiday without leaving the village. The neighbouring village Rotova, five minutes walk away, has a Post Office and bank in addition to supermarkets, bars and bakery serving fresh bread. The village and surrounding area is a haven for ambling, walking and bike riding. Try passing the time of day with the locals who are very friendly, mix with Spanish families during cooling off time at the village pool, with unrivalled views.
Spain holds Fiestas throughout the year and for many reasons, Alfauir and Gandia are no exception. If you are able to visit during Fiesta time you will experience the simple fun way of Spanish celebration and witness various firework displays.

Our house is easily reached by car from Alicante airport (approx 130kms- 75 min) and Valencia airport (approx 80 kms- 55min) Easyjet flies to Valencia and Alicante from many UK airports. Ryanair also fly to Alicante and Valencia. Both have a regular service with budget prices.
We have found Auto-europe and Holiday autos provide the best rates for car rental, Auto-europe rates often include insurance.
Valencia airport has a metro sevice to Valencia train station which has a direct service to Gandia where a taxi or car hire can be picked up to continue short distance to the house.
