Home description
El Romeral is a charming 8 bedroom guest house located within the Monduver Mountains and only 20 minutes away from several award winning beaches. Situated on the edge of a national park, green and lush, we enjoy the best of all worlds - pure mountain air and spring water from the font, traditional Valencian cooking cooked by masters with over 50 years experience, bar, restaurant and of course tranquility when you stay with us in one of our eight poolside Bedrooms.
We have 8 newly refurbished en suite bedrooms including 1 family room which sleeps 4 ideal for families with younger children.
Each south facing room overlooks the pool and the beautiful Valencia mountains - absolutely breathtaking!
We have 4 Double Bedrooms, 3 Twin Bedrooms and 1 family Room.
Each room has a fully tiled en suite with shower. Complimentary soaps and hairdryer's are provided including fresh towels and bedlinen.
We do provide maid service and make sure you will always have fresh towels and bed linen for the duration of your stay.
We currently do not have televisions in the bedrooms. These are planned to be installed later on in the year but for now we have a 52 "high definition flat screen tv with sky in our air conditioned bar with a choice of favourites such as Sky Sports, Sky News, Sky One, Discovery, National Geographic and so on.
We can accommodate up to 18 guests comfortably in the bedrooms and also have available sofa beds and cots if required.
Continental breakfast is included in the price based on 2 people sharing a double bedroom.
We will endeavor to make your stay with us as comfortable and as informative as we can.

If you love the countryside, then we've got it all here for you - many published walks abound, cycling (road and mountain biking) and rock climbing can be found in abundance here. Horse riding enthusiasts and quad bikers are also catered for as are the tranquility-seekers. For those wanting a bit of pizazz, fear not! were only 60 minutes from Benidorm and water parks galore - we're even 2.5 hrs. from Andora, (a famous Spanish ski resort) so it really doesn't get any better if you want variety.
The best the region has to offer - there's good reason the Spanish travel 50 miles at weekends to eat at our restaurant and spend the day by the pool soaking up the glorious views - not to mention the Madrellenos (Madrid) - why not ask them when you're here!

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region
With breathtaking views and rural historic beauty Gandia has so much to offer Award winning beaches only 20 mins away combined with restaurants, bars, boutiques along with fantastic shopping malls and regular local markets where you can haggle away what more can you ask for!. There are many featured walks for the fit, rock climbing and bike hire. You can even go skiing which is approx 2.5 hours away so we really do have the best of both worlds all under one roof. If you have a young family then a day trip to the Benidorm theme parks could be just the ticket and only 1 hour's drive away. Whilst there you may also want to drop in at The Benidorm Palace and book seats to watch their amazing shows.
Gandia area
Sightseeing and shopping in Gandia
Gandia lies about 100 km north of Alicante along the Costa Blanca coast. With a population of approximately 55,000 citizens, Gandia is one of the largest cities in the Valencia region.
Gandia is somewhat the centre of agriculture for the area. Together with a large fishing business due to its harbor, the city also offers very interesting places to visit. Due to the fact that most of Gandia's city centre is full with palm tree promenades with bars, restaurants and shops, it is also a wonderful place for a shopping tour.
Being one of the largest cities around, Gandia attracts many tourists just for the shopping experience. With a huge shopping mall area outside of Gandia, major supermarkets and stores can be found. (Carrefour or Mercadona just to name a few.)
Apart from shopping for daily needs, Gandia is also an interesting place for sightseeing holidays. One major tourist attraction is the Palace of Santo Duque just at one end of the old city centre. The building, with many different influences over the past centuries, is famous for its patio de las armas and huge stairway. It has been declared a Spanish national monument. Really worth a visit if you appreciate architecture.
In addition, while you are in Gandia, you might want to visit the church La Colegiata at the plaza de la constitucion and the old university building Antigua Universidad.
A little bit to the south of Gandia you find the city of Oliva with a beautiful old town centre and a large market every Friday definitely worth a trip.
Gandia Beach
One main attraction of Gandia is its golden sandy beach. With a length of about 11 km it is most popular amongst Spanish tourists. With temperature's soaring into the 40's it is one of the best places to be on a hot summers day.
To summarise, if you want to find a lovely city with a great mix of shopping, sightseeing and beach, then Gandia is a wonderful choice.
How to get there
Easy jet, Ryan air, Thomsonfly, BA & Iberia.
Fly either to Valencia or Alicante.
Car hire available at both airports though your airline will probably recommend a suitable car for the duration of your holiday.
Distance by car from Valencia is 60 mins = 70km Distance by car from Alicante 1 hr and 30 mins = 120km
You MUST hire a car as we are nestled deep in the Valencia mountains.
Local village buses run regularly between La Drova/Barx into Gandia town
There are always local taxis available in Gandia - fare should be no more than 20/25 euros to and from El Romeral.
