DISCOUNT ON LATE BOOKINGS! This beautiful villa offers excellent value-for-money. A well appointed property, with spacious grounds and attractive gardens. Facilities are exclusive and NOT shared with other guests/properties.

Nestling in the foothills of the La Safor mountains, this villa offers the best of both worlds; situated away from the busy hot spots frequented by English tourists, you can sample some of the 'real Spain' if you wish, or a short journey will take you to all the popular attractions in the area. Less than 20 mins away are some of the finest Blue Flag beaches in Spain. If you just want to relax the villa has a beautiful pool and several areas to relax or eat.

The relaxing atmosphere of the villa is enhanced by its tasteful decor. Many of the rooms have tiled floors unique to the Valencian region. The villa is well appointed to cater for your every need - if there's something special you want, let us know and we will do our best to oblige. If you require a change of linen during your stay we have a professional service available which is 10 euros per person and includes bed and towel linen.

Further details outdoors:
Most of the year can be spent outside the villa enjoying its many superb facilities. Whether its sunbathing by the pool or on the lower terrace, or relaxing in the cool shade of the trees, there is something for everyone.

In the evening you can sit on the balcony outside the lounge and watch the sun set on the mountains. Alternatively you can chill out on the huge lower terrace which has a superb BBQ and dining area.

Further details

The villa rental tariff has not been increased for 3 years even though many costs has risen. In the light of the current global economic crisis we are absorbing these costs, offering even better value for money. This represents an approximate discount of around 20% in Pounds sterling and nearer 40% in euros.

Upon your arrival you will be greeted by us and a Welcome Pack of essential groceries will be provided. If you have any special food requirements let us know before you come and we will tell you if it is available here or if you have to bring it with you.

We go shopping the day before you arrive and if you want we can get additional groceries for you arrival. Once you have rested we can show you where the best shops are and give you a short guided tour of the local village if you wish.

We live in a separate self-contained part of the villa and keep the outside of the villa/chairs etc. clean and tidy for you. We do NOT use the outside facilities when we have guests - your privacy is assured. If you have a problem or query you can call us or if we are not in you can ring us on our mobile.

Conditions

* Smoking is only permitted on the outside terraces, NOT in the villa.
* Villa/grounds not suitable for children under 3 or those who have difficulty with steps.
* 25% deposit for booking. Balance payable 8 weeks before arrival date.
* £200 (refundable) breakages/damage deposit paid with balance and refunded 7 days after vacation.
* Holiday insurance is strongly recommended as we cannot accept responsibility for delays,strikes, loss/damage of property.
* If you have not already got them, apply for the (free) European Health Insurance Card.

The Costa Blanca / Valencia / Valencia Province region

We are located in the La Safor region, which has been designated by the World Health Organization as the 2nd best area in the world (the first was somewhere in Japan!).

The whole region is steeped in history. Having been invaded and occupied by the Romans and Moors centuries ago, the culture and architecture is diverse and unique to this area.

Spain is famous for its Fiestas and this region has so many. At any time of the year there is at least one village or town celebrating some aspect of their history, always ending with a spectacular firework display. At Easter this region is renowned for the Fallas festival, where huge papier-maché figures (which can take a year to make) are displayed around the towns and finally burnt, followed by a huge firework display. At the end of September each year there is the Borgia Festival, a week-long series of plays, dance and music exhibitions and Medieval food and craft stalls, plus several huge firework displays.

There are so many places you could visit it would fill your entire holiday! We have brochures and details of the many places you can visit, depending upon the type of holiday break you want. Whether you enjoy walking, visiting historic places, shopping or just relaxing, there is something for everyone. If you enjoy photography (as I do) this area is a photographer's paradise!

Fly to Valencia or Alicante (Easyjet, Ryanair, British Airways etc.) and Villalonga is 55 minutes drive south (from Valencia), straight along the A7/N332. Alicante airport is about 20 minutes longer, take the A7 north.

A car is recommended to enjoy all the sights and facilities in the area. Many car hire companies are available via the internet and/or at the airports.

“Just Perfect” If you have any doubts about this villa, don't. It was presented as clean as could be. All necessary equipment was present in the perfectly serviceable kitchen, with great outdoor eating facilities - front balcony for the early risers coffee; side of kitchen for breakfast; bbq and large terrace for other main meals and festivities. The pool is terrific with glorious views of the surrounding hills. Sleeping facilities are excellent and uncluttered. Shopping is good at the Mercadona in Villalonga and surrounding shops and market. If I have to pick a reservation or two; 1) only one loo a disadvantage when the villa is full and 2) if you want to be in among the crowds at the playa, this is not for you. Having said that, I had agreed with my children to take them or pay for taxis to and from the beach and night-life. Never had occasion to do so as they were really happy to stay at the villa and chill out. Finally, our gratitude to the landlords who live in the basement apartment. They were invisible for the most part and did not intrude on us at all. Otherwise they contributed to a perfect holiday for us all. Thank you and hasta la vista.

“Peace and relaxation” We have returned to this villa on 3 occasions and find it a wonderful place to relax and unwind. Located on a hillside with lovely views from the top of the garden where the swimming pool is situated.Owners Val and Ron make you very welcome and ensure all your needs and requirements are met. The property is very well equipped and spotlessly clean. It is situated about 1mile out of the village of Villalonga. This is a pretty village with plenty of food shops, cafes and bars etc. However you do need a car to get about and see places. To get to nearest beach takes about 20 mins by car. We love the outside space at the villa, lovely gardens, swimming pool and a variety of terraces on which to sit and relax.Altogether a great place to unwind!
