The Tuscany region

La Burraia is located in a fantastic position to discover Tuscany's art cities

Gambassi Terme

Ancient territory, inhabited since before the Etruscans, inserted in a context characterized by soft landscaped green hills, roads, and cypress woods. In this natural environment , which does not lack historical buildings and reminiscences of the past .

The Municipal Park is combined with greater natural resource of the area: the thermal water , known as the Water Pillo , with medical healing properties.

Recent archaeological excavations carried out in our area, have revealed important aspects of glass production of the Medieval and Renaissance periods in Tuscany . In particular, we were able to understand the techniques of manufacture of glass compositions , gear, and the types of objects produced .

Among the ruins of furnaces found , like that of Germagnana , were found some fragments that testify to the production of objects for everyday use , such as vases , cups, containers .

The art of glass development in the area of Gambassi in 1200 and to an interesting discovery we invite you to visit the Museum of glassmaking . A permanent exhibition that gathers the studies and archaeological research carried out in the territories of Gambassi and Montaione.
