Cottage is well equiped and the owners very welcoming and friendly. A perfect location for walking and visiting places like Kirkudbright, Dumfries and Newton Stewart. Enclosed patio very useful for the dogs, and red squirrel watching, not to mention all the birds who visit the feeders. The bird and squirrel food is supplied by the owners. This was our second visit and we hope to go again. |

Drey Cottage was lovely and welcoming from the moment you stepped inside with the table set with lovely china and a home made cake waiting for us after our journey which was a lovely homely touch. Jennie made us so welcome and had even emailed to say that we could get into the cottage earlier than shown on the website. We took our son and our airedale terrier with us and it was the ideal place for all. You could walk into the forest and the forest park was around the corner with a playground and a place to hire bikes. There are a lot of great places around this part of Scotland within a short distance by car. The cottage was so clean and was very well equipped. It was so nice to sit in the conservatory and watch all the birds and the visiting red squirrel. A great place to stay. |
