It is convenient for daily trips to Florence,Pisa,Lucca or the seaside.
It is ideal for nature lovers,mountain climbers,ramblers,peace seekers,artists,
exursionists,speleologists.Particularly suitable for families and children.

The Tuscany / Lucca Province region

Places to visit within a few kms of VILLA ELICRISO are:Grotta del Vento,Eremo di Calomini,Barga,the medieval village of Trassilico,Castelnuvo Garfagnana(the valley main town with its castles,shops and restaurats).In less than one hour by car you can visit the magnificent Fortezza delle Verrucole ,the Orecchiella Park and the hermitage of San Pellegrino in Alpe.All through the summer every village in the valley organizes festivals and open air parties and religious processions in honour of its saint patron.
