A peaceful and relaxing three bedroom Italian villa awaits you...nestled into the Tuscan hillside, engulfed by trees and flowers of Garfagnana, and quietly tucked below the cobblestone streets of the medieval village of Cardoso. Escape the hustle and bustle of tourists and unwind with a glass of wine or cappuccino on the main terrace, overlooking the beautiful Serchio Valley. A short ten minute walk, leads you to the peak of Cardoso where the ancient bell tower chimes every half hour and offers more breathtaking panoramic views of the countryside and mountains. This renovated (2001) three bedroom, two bath, two-story villa offers a one-of-a-kind setting for your authentic Italian stay.

Cardoso, home to less than two hundred friendly residents, is known for it's unspoiled beauty among the Garfagnana; which translates to the "Green Lung" of Tuscany, rich in natural vegetation. About my land in history and environments still uncontaminated, Garfagnana is a heaven to all those who love nature.

Hidden between the Apuan Alps and the Tuscan-Emilian Appennines, intersected by the river Serchio, it is dotted by small towns and villages where ancient traditions live on.

Near to Barga (7km) in a peaceful and traditional Tuscany place (perfect to visit Lucca, Pisa and Florence ).

The Tuscany region

Two thousand years of Lucca history can be visited every day, strolling through the streets and squares of the city. A wealth of treasures are conserved in the numerous collections of Lucca and its territory.

There are the National Museums, that bring together the major works and the art and craft artefacts of our past, and then there are the local collections, both large and small, which sometimes conceal unexpected gems. Special didactic activities and further information are available for both children and adults

Nature and sport

The marble mountains of the Apuans, the wooded slopes of the Apennines, the fish-laden banks of the Serchio and its numerous tributaries, a little canyon, the hot thermal springs, the small lakes lying in the valley bottoms, the marshy areas where the migratory birds gather, the underground grottoes, the exuberant Spring flowerings, the luxuriant gardens of the Renaissance villas.

The Lucca territory offers an infinite variety of landscapes and visit opportunities, for individual adventure-lovers and for groups both large and small who can also appreciate the gastronomic declinations of the natural beauties!
