Playa Blanca holiday villa rental with beach/lake nearby, jacuzzi/hot tub, internet access and balcony/terrace

Villa Riptide is by far one of the best available villas for your holiday, located in the quiet area of Finisterre approximately 4 miles from the hustle and bustle of the town. It is a pleasant walk along the coastal route into town (especially when you find some nice bars and restaurants along the way), although taxis can be booked if preferred.

The breeze from the Atlantic Ocean is extremely soothing and this frontline villa has amazing views and the waves crashing on the rocks are totally mesmerising.

Guests constantly ask about where they can walk from the villa. There is a promenade in front of the villa but it boasts only the occasional walkers as it only stretches the length of the properties in Finisterre because of Spanish Building regulations. The rough ground is only a short distance to the promenade at the lighthouse, which goes all the way into Playa Blanca. We can walk to La Mulata along the promenade in 20 minutes and a further 40 minutes takes us to Playa Blanca Town Centre. La Mulata has a lovely 5* cocktail bar called Marea's and lovely restaurants upstairs, including Luna Rosa, an Italian; Sebastyans, a Greek restaurant and an Argentinean Steak House. Details of all the lovely restaurants are in the villa and if you don't want to walk at night, the taxi fare is around 6 Euros.

In Faro Park, the nearest shopping centre, and only 10 minutes walk from the villa, we are very lucky with some lovely restaurants and a convenience mini market. I would thoroughly recommend Le Moka, which has the most amazing French Pastry and the quiches are to die for. We often buy them for lunch and take them back to the villa to have them with salad and a nice glass of wine. The Port of Call also does a lovely carry out cooked chicken, again lovely with salad. There is also an Italian restaurant, Dal Travisano, opened up in Faro Park and it is excellent, both for carry out meals and sitting in. The Spanish restaurant, La Flamenca, is very good also.
