This listing is for a family room that sleeps up to 4 people. The listing is priced on a room only basis. We can provide a self service light breakfast if you wish.
Check in is 4pm to 7pm. Please contact us if you would like to check in earlier or later and we will endeavour to arrange this for you.
We also have a single bedroom, 2 x twin bedrooms and a three bedded room available at our holistic centre. There is also a self contained apartment with a twin bedded room, sitting room with a bed settee that can convert into a double bed, bathroom + toilet and a kitchen.

Guests have use of the communal facilities including a comfortable relaxation lounge area that has a kitchenette with kettle, toaster and microwave where guests can make themselves hot & cold drinks and light snacks etc. There is also a garden that guests are welcome to use. Please note that whilst all bedrooms have electric heaters, the communal area is heated by a solid fuel stove. We provide a 'starter pack' of fuel and coal, wood etc., can be purchased locally or we can provide this (additional charge applies).
Set in a rural environment OPAL is an ideal location for a relaxing break, a retreat, a walking holiday or as a stop-over whilst exploring Ireland. We are a short walk from the river Suck (making it an attractive location for a fishing holiday) and Donamon Castle.
Although we are situated in a tranquil, rural location we are a short drive from Roscommon town (approx 17km) and a number of tourist attractions such as Elphin Windmill, Rathcroghan oghan Heritage Centre, Strokestown Famine Museum, Athlone (where you can take a boat trip down the River Shannon, take in a show at the Deane Theatre and avail of the shopping in the town centre). We are just a short walk away from Donamon Castle and the River Suck and local attractions include Castlecoote House, Roscommon Arts Centre a number of fishing spots and scenic walks.
You are free to come and go as you please and to use the communal facilities at your leisure. We ask that you clean up any crockery etc. that you may use in the kitchenette located in the main hall / relaxation area and leave all areas in a clean and tidy state after use.
We ask that you respect the privacy of any other guests and that if you are coming or going between the hours of 10pm - 8am that you avoid making any noise that would unduly disturb others.
As the OPAL Centre is designed to provide a place of peaceful tranquility, there are no televisions, radios, WiFi etc.
We ask guests to remove their shoes when entering the centre, so please bring indoor footwear.
