From the owner

These cottages are our much loved family 'getaway' cottages and comprise of two semi-detached cottages with an adjoining door between them which gives an option to rent both cottages together for larger family groups, or rent as individual units. They each consist of two double bedrooms and a sun lounge with a double sofa bed with sprung mattress for an extra sleeping option. The lounge, kitchen, and dining area are open plan offering plenty of sociable space, giving excellent opportunities to relax, talk, laugh, or just chill and watch a movie together. A wood burning stove is situated in the lounge area, which makes it a lovely romantic place to be in with a few candles lit, and a glass of wine!

We discovered the cottages in a dilapidated state after a drive through Perth countryside and decided we had to restore them. Every window offers magnificent country views to enjoy. The rural location will give you the experience of 'getting away from it all', but is near enough to Scone and Perth by car if you want to get in touch with the world again! Blairgowrie, Dunkeld, Birnam and Braemar are also short drives away. Please note all particulars and pricing stated is for one of the cottages only, although both can be rented out together.

Outside there are seating areas with table, chairs and parasol to enjoy Alfresco dining and barbecues whilst taking in the beautiful views all around. There is also a well equipped Children's Play Area with a climbing frame, swings and a wooden train for children to enjoy. Our grandchildren love it! There is also a log cabin with a view towards the stream, which contains table tennis, a dart board and other games for you to enjoy. Please note the play area and log cabin are shared between both cottagesl. Children must be supervised at all times whilst using this facility.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

You can pay the remaining balance of your holiday at any point. Simply go to Manage my holiday booking and click Pay now.

We’ll automatically charge the balance payment to the same payment method 10 days before it’s due. Go to Manage my holiday booking to see when the payment will be taken.

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Kim (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Kim (the owner) a message.

If Kim (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
