Sandlings is a luxurious 2 bedroomed self catering holiday rental located overlooking the beach with fabulous sea views from its large private decked verandah. It is double glazed with full central heating. A truly all seasons holiday rental in a quiet and peaceful location but close to all local amenities in the town of Leiston. Escape and unwind in real luxury, whether you just want to put your feet up or get out and enjoy the fresh air on coastal walks to Thorpeness, Aldeburgh, Minsmere and Dunwich the choice is yours. Pet friendly too.

This luxury self-catering holiday rental overlooks the beach on the Suffolk Heritage Coast in the heart of the Suffolk Coast and Heaths Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). The lodge provides first class, all year round holiday accommodation for self catered holidays and short breaks on the Suffolk coast. Conveniently located between RSPB Minsmere Reserve and Thorpeness, Sandlings provides the perfect base for visiting all the popular local areas of interest which include Aldeburgh, Snape, Dunwich, Southwold, the Suffolk Coastal & Heritage Path and, naturally, Sandlings Walk.

There are marvellous sea views from the verandah and living/dining areas. The verandah has comfortable outdoor furniture consisting of a sofa, 2 armchairs with comfy cushions, a coffee table and 2 matching sun loungers. The large, raised verandah can only be accessed via the French doors from the living room or through a lockable side gate. It provides privacy for adults and a safe environment for young children and pets. The beach, 50 metres away, is easily accessed via a footpath on the site. There are no restrictions on walking dogs on the beach, even in peak season. There is easy access to a number of walks including the Suffolk Coastal and Heritage Path and the Sandlings Walk. The location also gives easy access to the beautiful Suffolk coast and surrounding area including the coastal towns and villages of Aldeburgh, Dunwich, Southwold, Thorpeness, Snape, Walberswick and Minsmere Nature Reserve. Ipswich, Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth and Norwich are within easy driving distance. Sea fishing off the beach is popular.

The lodge is situated in the Beach View Holiday Park, 50 metres from the beach and the Suffolk Coastal Path on the Suffolk Heritage Coast. The Holiday Park nestles between Thorpeness and the RSPB's Reserve at Minsmere, where you can enjoy stunning views and see some of our rarest wildlife. The Suffolk Heritage Coast is renowned for its beautiful countryside and coastal towns and villages, steeped in history. The Sandlings Walk passes close to the Beach View Holiday Park and runs for 58 miles from Southwold to the outskirts of Ipswich!

The Beach View Holiday Park is a friendly family run site which has an onsite Clubhouse Bar and Family Games Room (March to September). The town of Leiston is less than 2 miles away with all the usual facilities and amenities including pubs, cafes, cash machines, a wide range of takeaways, a cinema showing the latest releases, a supermarket and local museum. You will find a wide range of seasonal events and activities in the other neighbouring towns and villages of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Snape, Dunwich and Southwold. The major resorts of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth are within easy travelling distance. Further details of these as well as the local attractions and current events can be found in the maps, leaflets and brochures at the lodge or in the Clubhouse Bar. The owners are happy to provide any additional information or details on request

The lodge is built to the highest specifications. It is fully fitted with all mod-cons and provides first class luxury accommodation for all seasons for up to 4 people for a relaxing and trouble-free holidays. FREE WiFi and Internet access, but this is the Suffolk coast and you may find it considerably slower than you are used to! Children are welcome. Dogs welcome - maximum 2. There is parking for 2 cars in front of the lodge. A full pack is available covering the working of all appliances including central heating but we are available and happy to answer any questions or deal with any problems, if they arise, either before or during your stay.

The accommodation consists of:
Bedroom 1: Kingsize bed, bedside cabinets, large his and hers wardrobes, chest of drawers, TV/DVD and door to attractive, fully fitted en-suite shower room.

Bedroom 2: Twin beds, bedside cabinet, TV/DVD, double wardrobe and chest of drawers.

En-suite shower room to the master bedroom has WC, pedestal basin, cabinet and large walk-in, fully tiled shower.

The family bathroom has an attractive white suite with bath and shower attachment, WC, pedestal basin and cabinet.

The spacious, fitted kitchen is fully equipped with all mod-cons including a large fridge/freezer, integrated oven/grill with gas hob and extractor fan, microwave, washing m/c, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc.

A wonderfully spacious, fully carpeted open plan living and dining area with a vaulted ceiling. Oak dining table, 4 chairs, 2 bar stools, 2 comfortable sofas, an oak nest of tables, wall-mounted LED TV/DVD with FreeSat and wood burner style electric fire.

Full height windows show off the wonderful sea views and double French doors open onto a large, private, decked verandah overlooking the sea. An outdoor sofa, armchairs, coffee table and 2 matching sun loungers to make the most of the lovely sea views. Parking for 2 cars.

All bed linens, towels, tea towels and general guest supplies are provided along with a welcome pack on arrival. A professional housekeeping service is available if required at a modest additional cost if staying longer than a week. A child's travel cot is also provided.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Nigel (the owner) a message.

If Nigel (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
