From the owner

This small traditional finca has spectacular panoramic views over the sea, the village of Banyalbufar, and the mountains. The house is situated within large private gardens spread over ancient terraces held by dry stone walls. It offers total privacy and tranquility, while being only 10 minutes walking distance to the village with its shops, cafes, restaurants and beach, and is suitable for people who would like to relax in natural and peaceful surroundings.The land belonging to the finca still features remains of the historic irrigation system which goes back to the moors, and there are citrus trees and other fruit trees, as well as an ornamental gardens with shaded terraces.

In the summer, you will spend most of the time outside, enjoying the sun or shade during the day and warm nights under the stars. The house is surrounded by a large terrace with a big dining table, sun lounges and a barbecue, and there are further terraces with seating in different parts of the gardens, and a pool.

The house has been refurbished with new limestone floor throughout, spacious fitted cupboards in the bedrooms, double glazed windows, and for cooler days in Spring and Autumn, electric heating has been installed in all rooms. There is also a wood burning stove in the main sitting room and a fireplace in the corner with the sofa. Some of the old features have been retained, such as an ancient, roman cistern, and the roof was restored using the traditional methods of cane and wood, rarely seen today.

It has two double bedrooms, one with a small en suite shower room, and there is a further bathroom with shower. There is a modern kitchen with door to the terrace and sea view, a large dining room – sitting room area with sea views, and a separate area with a sofa and television. An outdoor shower by the main terrace helps to cool down on hot days, and there is a further shower by the pool.

The village of Banyalbufar is only a 30 minutes drive from Palma, but located in an unspoiled conservation area in the southern part of the dramatic Tramuntana mountains, which have been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2011. It has stone and rock beaches which are ideal for snorkeling,

In spring and autumn, the house is a perfect base for serious hikers. You can walk straight from the house up into the spectacular wilderness of ancient woodlands and dramatic rocks, and enjoy amazing views over the coastline and the mountains, along a well signposted network of routes.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Anne Marie (the owner) a message.

If Anne Marie (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
