Owner's reply:
An injury to a child is the major concern, though the 1932, flag profiled concrete floor has given good use and pleasure till now. Warn smooth by both holiday makers as well as the original, busy viticulters who first installed it. Downstairs and upstairs are well lit at night, Perhaps if remembered as when coming in from the sun light, as all interiors, it seemed shaded and dark. Late night arrival is perfectly normal, though a w elcome by Genevieve and Gilbert, our friends in the village, at any time before eight is a much nicer way to get accustomed to the hill-side house.. Genevieve, a seamstress of French military uniforms by trade, is a good cleaner and makes up the beds as guests require before their arrival. It surprises me that Mr D. sought to re-make the beds from the large supply of matching bed linnen. On arrangement she cleans during a stay as well as thoroughly between lets. Water from the taps is certainly drinkable but high in lime. Scaling is dealt with frequently. Furniture retro collected each piece on its merit and normally has given satisfaction. There is electric air ventilation, for all sanitation areas, operational instructions given with house management instructions before arrival. The house is airy, so much so that guests advised to beware of streams of air making shutters bang if breeze rises. Dogs do run free in French villages, and thanks must go to Mr D. for tackling a resultant disaster before Gilbert got to it, his daily habit to guard the drying area meticulously against the very occaisional incurrsion. Odour wise, fresh , fresh pine is the scent associated with that washing line, on an open hillside, stretched between a Scots Pine and our own young Cypress. Please do not avoid this extrordinarily beautiful and well managed house and garden. Perfectly secure, a delight early in the morning, through-out the day and into the night. Please evaluate through consideration of the less depressed reviews! Michael (Owner)
