Romantic & tranquil getaway with stunning views overlooking the River Wye. Sip a glass of wine whilst watching the wildlife & listen to the river flowing by from the comfort of your lounge, dining area or south facing terrace. At night you can watch the stars, or see the moon dance on the water & hear the owls hoot.Surrounded by orchards ,you can follow the Wye Valley Walk or one of the bridleways from the village. Canoes can be launched from an lnlet next door to the grounds. Fishing from the garden & two other areas around Byford only by prior arrangement, please ask for details. Canoes can be hired from points upstream & finish at Byford as hire companies can collect the canoes from the Inlet .Set in a secluded yet easily accessible location, the property ( one of two lodges) is a short drive from Hay on Wye. There is an excellent farm shop with its own deli, butchery & restaurant 2 miles away & also an Inn serving food close by. Dining pubs such as the renowned Stagg at Titley is a short drive away.There are outdoor pursuits such as walking, canoeing,riding,cycling & climbing close by. Explore by car the stunning scenery which varies from rolling hills & orchards, to mountains,forests,waterfalls & dams. There are also many Castles,Gardens,Manor Houses & ancient Churches as well as local artists & craft makers to visit. Please note that Infants, children and animals are not accepted at 'Swans'.

Lovely country holiday by the river

Swans apartment was spotless clean, spacious, with everything you need for a home from home holiday. Wonderful view. We loved it there, we will go again next year. We where made welcome by the owner.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Denise (the owner) a message.

If Denise (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
