Our baby friendly bolthole is minutes from the beach and dunes of Camber Sands, The Rock is an attractive brick and weather board holiday cottage for easy, chilled out family holidays by the sea, where everyone's needs have been thought of even the family pet! There's so much baby gear and toys that planning and packing up is a piece of cake too. For starters, there are inflatables, body boards, snorkelling gear, a kite, deck chairs, windbreak, picnic set, bucket and spade all ready and waiting so the beach is beckoning!

The interiors are simple, contemporary and uncluttered, which means fewer hazards and breakables within reach of elastic-armed toddlers! The house is also spacious, comfortable and really well equipped for parents and youngsters alike. The high spec home entertainment in the sitting room includes a wall mounted flat screen Freeview TV, DVD Player, CD player, two IPod docks, Nintendo Wii and WiiFit with a variety of games. As if that's not enough to keep all ages happy whatever the weather, The Rock has a treasure trove of books, jigsaws, building blocks, cars, soft toys, play food and toy appliances, Lego, My Little Pony, Peppa Pig house and figures, My Little Talking computer, dolls stroller, board games, U-rated kids DVDs and bath toys.

In the modern, open plan kitchen dining room, there's another flatscreen TV/DVD player so grown-ups can watch something other than Cbeebies and enjoy wine and nibbles at the stylish dining table. A bottle of local juice is included in the welcome pack, along with other essentials plus the kitchen has some handy gadgets for laid back holiday living, like the drinks fridge, smoothie maker, hand blender, sandwich toaster and picnic set. From the kitchen/dining room, patio doors lead into an enclosed decked garden with a large wooden dining table, bench seating, bbq and planters which have concealed lights to create the right mood on warm summers evenings.

On the first floor, The Rock has a master double bedroom with ensuite shower and wc, a second double bedroom, a cheery twin room that's been designed with children in mind and the house bathroom. The bright, clean and simple theme flows throughout, finished with tasteful pictures, smart linen, fluffy towels and robes.

The Rock sleeps 6 people or a maximum of 8, plus babies in cots (1 travel cot provided), with two double bedrooms, one twin bedroom and a double air bed. The master double bedroom has an ensuite with shower, basin and wc. There is also a house bathroom upstairs and a separate wc downstairs.

Why can't I call the property manager before booking?

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How can I retract my booking request?

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send the property manager a message.

If the property manager agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
