Les Chouettes (The Owls) has been converted from the old milking barn into a large contemporary dwelling of for eight (or ten people with two additional single beds). The limestone walls have been kept partly exposed in the sitting room (and downstairs bedroom) which with the wood burner nestling in the chimney place provides additional ambience. There is a well equipped kitchen opening up to the dining room making meal times a social event. The windows look out onto the farm courtyard with the trellis work of clematis, honeysuckle and roses.
Les Chouettes provides a rural retreat, where you can relax. The grounds of La Ferme des Tourterelles backs out onto rolling fields and overlooks the protected forest of the Regional Naturel Park of the Forest of the Orient.
There are two main bedrooms with king size beds and satellite TV along with ensuite bath/shower rooms. The other two twin bedrooms have two single beds though each are large enough to accommodate a third bed if requested. The twin bedrooms share a shower room and a wash room, each with their own toilets. The first floor has an oak style wooden floor.
A large terrace with wood furniture is accessible from the dining room and the courtyard of La Ferme des Tourterelles.
The pricing provided is for 8 people. Should you require additional single beds please contact Sarah. Price on application.

Further details outdoors
The large outdoor heated pool is available for use from mid-May to mid-September. It is surrounded by a wall that provides privacy and shelter as well as security for young children running around in the garden. Adults are responsible for their children when they use the pool. The pool face south making the most of the sunshine and when you are tired of swimming, sunbathing, snoozing or reading that novel, just wander around and soak up the panorama around you of the hills, fields and forests.
There is a petanque/boules court and there are two sets of boules available for you play under the shade of trees. There is a table tennis table with bats and balls on a terrace that provides lighting in the evenings.
A BBQ terrace is situated beside the large limestone barn with a chimenea so that for late into the evening you get the refracted heat from the barn along with the cheery and warm atmosphere from the burning wood (regardless if it is not cool enough to warrant lighting the fire!). The tables and chairs can be moved from this area to under the trees if you prefer to eat in during the day in the shade of the trees.
For quiet contemplation, your own space or a lovely place to have an aperatif at the end of the day watching the sun set over the fields and forests, there are two terraces at the end of the garden.
The roads around Eclance are generally very quiet and we find them great for cycling. Should you prefer mountain bike riding, there are many tracks through the forests, fields and vineyards. You are welcome to bring your own bikes or you may prefer to hire them locally. There are a couple of bike hire shops nearby.
If walking is more to your taste, there are some very good routes in the surrounding area - suggested itineraries are available.
