Villa | 4 bedrooms | sleeps 10
On the upper floor, the fully equipped kitchen leads to the spacious lounge/dining room, which features large glass wide opening patio doors on opposite sides to keep the whole room cool, assisted by paddle fans, enabling tropical outdoor/indoor living. The rear patio doors open onto the walled stonework terrace giving privacy and seclusion.
The master bedroom is on the same floor, with super king bed, large en suite bathroom with full size bath/shower, double basins and outside tropical shower. A second bedroom with king size double bed and en suite bathroom with shower is also on this floor. Both bedrooms have their own balconies overlooking gorgeous Freeman's Bay..
On the lower floor, the double Caribbean style over-arch staircase leads down to the pool area, off which are the two other bedrooms, one of which has a dividable super-king bed and en suite bathroom with shower. Bedroom four, which doubles as a cable TV/video room has twin beds that can be joined to make a double plus a child cot, and has adjacent bathroom and shower. Both downstairs bedrooms have French doors giving direct access to the pool area, which has dining furniture for up to 10 people, and a gas barbecue.
Lime Hill now has free unlimited WiFi, and in December 2012 was honoured to receive one of the few Tripadvisor coveted "Top Vacation Rental" awards.

Lime Hill guests enjoy, at no extra cost, maid service six days a week (all linen included), and the facilities of the Galleon Beach resort, including Reception which has a small library, fax, internet and phone available at extra cost, although most mobile phones will work in Antigua. Lime Hill receives pay as you go "Hot Hot Hot Spot" WiFi access, bring your own laptop. Walkers with practical shoes will enjoy the moderately demanding half mile Lookout Trail, starting just before the entrance to Galleon Beach Club, climbing up to Shirley Heights, where you will be delighted by one of the finest views in the Caribbean. Return the same way or down the main road. The nearby Jones Trail does pretty much the same thing, but is rather more adventurous... Several tennis courts are to be found at Timo Sports, at Falmouth, a five minute drive away.
Additional free facilities include a ferry service to Nelson's Dockyard, 24 hour security, backup generator, and of course one of the finest white sand and calm water beaches imaginable, all just two minutes stroll down the hill, and should it be required, there is on-site maintenance through Reception.

Could not have been better!
What a delightful place. Wonderful situation and immaculately clean. The villa was a few minutes walk from the beach and a great little beach bar. The owner was very helpful - giving us the name of a super car hire gentleman (Titi) and organising for the maids to get some food in for the first couple of days. Loved watching the sun go down over the harbour - just heaven.

About this location
The Antigua region
At just 108 square miles, Antigua is the largest of the Leeward Islands, little sister Barbuda being 30 miles (48 km) to the North, enjoying a delightful climate where the temperature rarely rises above 90°F (32°C), or falls below 75°F (25°C), all year round. Gentle trade winds, low humidity, and clear calm warm seas create conditions for the idyllic beach holiday.
Famous for its beaches and its cricket players, tiny Antigua is now one of the Caribbean's most popular destinations. The country has taken full advantage of the publicity gained from its independence in 1981 and the remarkable success of its cricketers since then to push its name into the big league of West Indian tourism alongside Barbados and Jamaica.
Galleon Beach Club
Whilst car hire is not essential, it is recommended, as there is much to see in Antigua, and, apart from Calabash, the wide range of restaurants in the area at Falmouth and English Harbour are 5-10 minutes drive away. Many guests use Titi car hire, who have a range of some 40 air-conditioned competitively priced vehicles of various sizes, and most importantly, will collect and deliver you from and back to the airport straight from Lime Hill, about 30 minutes away.
Galleon Beach enjoys a quite remarkable repeat booking record, guests returning year after year, some for over 25 years, which speaks volumes for this unspoiled tranquil and friendly place, a True Paradise. Although Lime Hill is a comparatively new property, some of our guests are already returning for their second and third time. Guests should be aware that the Hurricane season in Antigua is generally reckoned to be around late August to mid October, so we suggest you do not book then. Some years there are no Hurricanes, some years there are, nobody can say for sure, but it is better to be safe than sorry . . . At all other times, the weather is usually simply glorious.

"Picturesque setting with proximity to great restaurants"
Gorgeous villa overlooking a picturesque bay, in proximity to Nelson's Dockyards and many great restaurants. The views of the bay in the morning and at sunset are unforgettable. You are sure to enjoy your stay here, however, please be sure to bring tons of bug spray, as the local mosquitoes are ferocious, and rent a 4x4 vehicle as the driveway is very steep and a lesser vehicle might not have the oomph. The owner is attentive and fair. Overall, highly recommended.

"Nice house, nice views, but drawbacks- and some misleading info."
We only lasted 3 nights out of a planned (and paid for) 7, before moving over to a resort on the Island. The written descriptions of the house don't thoroughly cover every aspect, and hide a few… More
I was saddened and concerned to read this review, which is unjustified and inaccurate.
Prior to booking, he asked me numerous detailed questions, but omitted the most important: Sadly, one of his party had special needs, and could not take heat, and another was disabled and needed help to walk. I have great sympathy with his circumstances but he never made me aware of them.
Had he initially asked if the villa was suitable for disabled people, I would have said no.
These disabilities relate specifically to members of his party, and are in no way faults attributable to Lime Hill. Just prior to his return home, he emailed me, and I quote:-
“If you can see your way to returning any small portion of the rental fee it would of course be GREATLY appreciated, and I would then sing your praises to all the internet gods!”
I do not think it right to either offer or receive payment for a good review. Also, the implication was that if I did not refund him, he would give Lime Hill a bad review, which in the event, he has now done. This casts obvious doubt on the value and integrity of his review.
I have been renting Lime Hill for ten years now, and have never had a complaint about the drive, or the lounge being too hot, indeed with the large sliding doors open on both sides, it catches the gentle trade winds. Additionally, there are very effective fans, making it pleasantly cool.
I therefore totally refute his comments, and would ask you to draw your own conclusions.
