The nearby harbour allows you to enjoy boat trips to the Isle of Skye. The rear of the property leads to a patio with a tree-lined garden, from which you can enjoy views of the Loch whilst dining alfresco. There is more than enough off-road parking for a number of cars, putting you within driving-distance of attractions outside Gairloch.

Storage heaters inc. in rent, electricity on £1 coin meter. Bed linen inc. in rent. Secluded, wooded garden with patio, lawned area, garden furniture and views over the loch. Ample off road parking. Up to 2 well behaved dogs welcome at £10 per pet per week. Sorry, no smoking. Pub, shop and village amenities 400 yards. Please note: 11th - 25th Feb 2012 charged at the D price band rate, 07th - 21st July 2012 charged at the H price band rate, 13th Oct - 03rd Nov 2012 charged at the F price band rate.

The Scottish Highlands region

For the less energetic, the Whisky Trail provides a unique way of exploring many of Scotland’s attractions and for quieter moments, there’s always Loch Ness and a chance to spot the elusive monster! Scotland also has some of Britain’s best and cleanest beaches. Cromarty is famous for its bottle-nosed dolphins and Nairn, whilst claiming to be one of the sunniest and driest places in the country, has glorious stretches of clean sand over which to roam. Several islands lie off the Scottish coast, each with their own character and heritage, however the Isle of Skye is probably the best known and most visited. As the largest of the Inner Hebrides, Skye’s turbulent geological past has bequeathed it a stunning coastline. Experienced walkers are drawn to the Black Cuillin Mountains, whilst those less experienced have an array of lower level coastal walks from which to choose or alternatively, visitors can take some time to visit Skye’s capital, the charming harbour town of Portree.
The Gairloch area
The village is a spectacular base from which to explore the outstanding natural beauty of Wester Ross, a highland wilderness made up of dramatic mountains, sea lochs and long, clean sandy beaches. The world famous sub-tropical Inverewe Garden, owned by the National Trust for Scotland, is only 6 miles away and offers a fascinating experience’ at all times of the year. Gairloch village also boasts an award winning Heritage museum with the old Rua Reidh lighthouse and many other fascinating exhibits - all housed in a restored farm building. Gairloch’s popular 9-hole golf course is situated nearby, close to the beautiful golden-sanded beach. A haven for wildlife, including whales, porpoises, seals and sea-otters, Loch Gairloch is also a bird-spotter’s paradise. There are sea fishing and wildlife cruises available from the harbour allowing you to take in the scenery and enjoy wildlife in its natural habitat.

,We found the house to be very comfortable, scenery very dramatic, loved the location near the harbour and the beach nearby was excellent - sand so soft! Lots of things to do and see, an ideal holiday to relax whatever the weather. Would definitely like to go back again.

Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental.
Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday.
"Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.
