The gite is part of a beautiful white stone farmhouse,renovated to a high standard and fully equipped.

2 lovely double bedrooms, both en suite with full bathrooms and showers, sleeps four adults, and a baby.
Bedroom 1- en suite with full Bathroom. Can be a King size bed or a twin room by request. Bedroom 2- A pretty Queen size Bed,with en suite full Bathroom. PLEASE NOTE:THERE IS A LOVELY THIRD BEDROOM WHICH CAN BE USED AT A SMALL EXTRA SUPPLEMENT-IT HAS A KING SIZE BED AND ROOM FOR A COT OR SINGLE BED TO MAKE A FAMILY ROOM. SO THE GITE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO SLEEP 6+ BABY .
There are exceptional varieties of wildlife to watch here- hares, wild boar, deer along with a family of wild goats that live in the forests and vineyards,and there are numerous game birds, and brds of prey. Flocks of Gold finches, Redstarts, Robins, Tits and our own Nighingale make the sounds of the evening quite remarkable.There is so little polution, that the skies are full of stars each clear night, and the skies seem to go on for ever.

Set on the edge of the small hamlet of Montels, next to the Church, peaceful but not isolated, the property is centred between the busy local village of Cahuzac sur Vere and the famous bastide hilltop town of Castlenau de Montmiral. Both have shops, chemists, banks, doctors, restaurants, bars, bakers, mini-markets and grocery stores, and are 5-10 minutes away. Nearby villages have colourful weekly markets, Summer festivals, and Autumn wine tasting events.

The Department of the Tarn has a wide variety of landscapes. Our area has the rolling hills and the gentle Tuscan like views over manicured vineyards with and fields of sunflowers.

There are lots of cultural and sporting activities to enjoy in the area,from Opera to string quartetes in the courtyard of a vineyard,and from golf to riding and bicycling, windsurfing, canoeing, walking, rock climbing etc.
A holiday here can be as quite or as active as you please-and it is a safe enviroment for a family holiday with young children.

Gaillac / Montels area

The locality is steeped in the fascinating history of the Cathars. There are beautiful fortified Bastide hilltop villages to explore. The property is situated on the edge of a hamlet,and near to an sctive village with Shops,Bank,Bar,Auberge,Restaurant, three Bakers,a delicatessant , chemist,Doctor's surgery ,Post Office etc. The locality is a wine growing region,and producers will be happy to arrange wine tastings at their vineyards. The restaurants serve the local gastrnomis specialites of the area; duck, fois gras,truffles,and marvellous cheeses. The area is steeped in the history of the Cathars,and there are several fortified Bastide villages to visit.There are festivals and village fairs all weeks in the Spring and summer to attend,and wine tasting events for the new wines in the Autumn.

Direct flights into Toulouse International Airport from Gatwick, Birmingham and Manchester,Bristol and Southampton - carriers are British Airways,EasyJet,Flybe, Jet2 ,BMI and budget airlines.

By Car a one day drive from the Chanel ports

Toulouse is well served from mainland UK and Ireland. Our gite is a 50 minute easy drive away.

25 % deposit is taken at the time of the reservation.
The balance is to be paid 8 weeks before the holiday starts.

Christmas 2008 is charged at 750 Euros per week

Long Winter lets can be arranged for house hunting trips-tariff for 1 month or more by arrangement.
