"Wonderful stay in a beautiful house"
From the moment we pulled up in the car we knew we had chosen well. We were greeted by our wonderful hosts and shown the house - and what a house it is. Lovingly restored with a beautiful sense of style, function and attention to detail. It really was a 'home from home'. The village of Gabian is what you would expect from a sleepy French village in the heart of the Languedoc (including the obligatory Boulangerie plus a travelling Pizza-van on Thursday evenings). 30 minutes inland we found ourselves sunbathing and swimming in the stunning Gorge d'Heric and 30 minutes the other way on one of the many south coast beaches the area has to offer. We would thoroughly recommend a trip to Montpellier which was a relaxed 1 hour drive away (park at Ikea and take the tram - a top tip from our hosts!). If you are looking for a property with an outside space/terrace then maybe this isn't the one for you, that said we spent a very enjoyable evening with our hosts on their terrace next-door. All in all the perfect end to our holiday across France.
