About the home

Casa Arte Nova is located less than a ten minutes walk from the beach, supermarket and the town centre of Fuzeta. The nearest restaurant is less than 5 minutes walk from the villa. Views of the beach and the Ria Formosa Nature reserve are available from all 3 floors of the villa, ensuring a welcoming and tranquil family holiday.

The villa has a large living area, which leads to a private pool, outdoor barbecue and outdoor eating areas. The villa is ideal for families, with two double rooms and two twin rooms. There is a large balcony from the master bedroom, as well as a spacious roof terrace, which are ideal for outdoor dining.

The latest "A" rating air-conditioning units were recently installed in all bedrooms and in the main family/dinninig room. Fans are also provided for your added comfort.

Linen and towels are provided, including beach towels, with weekly linen and towel change provided.

Un-interupted sea-views are visible from 3 sides of the villa, with the town of Fuzeta visible from the fourth side of the villa. 8 Sun-loungers are available, with further outdoor seating and tables available for 8 persons also. Barbeque and outdoor sink are available for outdoor dining. There is a car port, and ample car-parking on the private road up to the villa.

Fuzeta By Air

The Algarve / East Algarve region

The Algarve is Portugal's most popular tourist region, for its beautiful beaches and warm waters, heated by the Gulf Stream. But while most people coming to the Algarve get off the plane at Faro and head for the spectacular bays and coves to the west, the long, sandy beaches to the east are much less well known.

This coastline falls within the Ria Formosa National Park, of great interest to nature-lovers, especially bird watchers. Development has been limited and crowds are easy to avoid. The estuary of the Formosa forms a series of islands, ilhas (Faro, Barreta, Culatra, Armona and Tavira), essentially sand-spits with long, dune-backed beaches, behind which form mud flats, lagoons and salt marshes.

The Eastern Algarve is very different compared to the rugged beauty found west of Faro. Those tidal marshlands have a tranquil beauty and the small resorts along the coast have retained much of their character, looking today as they must have looked long ago. Here tourism blends in perfectly with local activities creating a relaxed way of life. There is a tinge of excitement, even romance, about those ferry or tiny boat trips to the ilhas, trips rewarded by superb, less crowded bathing beaches and warm waters. The houses are different too, in the main more modest and discreet although more opulent properies are appearing on the skyline. There are more characterful cottages, farmhouses and the local architecture is quite distinct.

The Fuzeta / Bias do Sul area

Amongst the selection of many beautiful beaches this part of the Algarve has to offer, Fuzeta beach is a sure family favourite. Being only 0.5km from the villa, Fuzeta is easily reached and comprises a tidal river bordered with colourful fishing boats and pavement cafes. Fuzeta has all amenities including traditional Portuguese restaurants, pubs, café shops and shops. Moncarapacho and the hills lie north of the villa. Roman remains can be visited in the nearby village of Estoi. Large water fun parks are encountered on the main road towards west Algarve, about 60 minutes away. Take the train and visit all the beautiful places the Eastern Algarve has to offer, including the towns of Tavira, Olhao and Faro.

Just arrived back from portugal, must compliment u on ur villa, its absolutely lovely, very tastefully furnished and very clean, we enjoyed our stay very much, fuseta is lovely very quaint and very peaceful, enjoyed some meals out especially at the scandanivan rest. Overall we had a lovely holiday, and by the way 10 out of 10 for that shopping trolley. We used yellowfish transfers and we found them brilliant very nice and prompt, they made things so easy especially with two small kids, they also provided two baby seats, and the return fare for seven was 84 euras, once again well done on your choice of area, we would definitely recommend you.

We had a lovely time in Portugal and we were delighted with the Villa. Plenty of room for everyone. Fantastic to have the second fridge as well. The location was great nice and peaceful. Locals very friendly and helpful. Easy enough walk to the main shops and beach area. Felt like a very safe place to be. I was less worried about taking my eyes off the kids there than I am here in London!!!!!!!!!

The kids enjoyed themselves and liked the fact that families go out together in the evening and children are included everywhere. It felt like the area had a very well balanced view on family life. We loved the little evening market and got some bargains. We hired a car and went into Faro, a beautiful place to explore and we really liked Olhao. Great for shopping and exploring. The beach was great - again a very good vibe and not so touristy even though it was August. We would certainly recommend the Villa it is great for families with teenage children. Thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful holiday home!

Just back today and have to say FABULOUS VILLA. Many thanks indeed. We have really enjoyed the Villa, Fuzeta and the locality. Finances permitting - we will be back. Got to recommend to you Snack-Bar Galactica opposite the campsite carparking outside - but walkable. We went almost every night and enjoyed friendly hospitality, incredible food and amazingly low prices. Family business with Ana the daughter and Jaoquim the son helping out - both with good English language and humour. Mum & Dad run the kitchens and we sampled mainly Portuguese dishes.

Just wanted to give you some feedback from our recent holiday - we had a very enjoyable stay, everything went smoothly from the directions from Faro via a taxi to our departure. The villa was well equipped with any minor problems very swiftly addressed by Sam. We ate out using some of the restaurants recommended by you or cooked for ourselves following purchase of fresh fish & veg from the market. Having close access to supermarkets was a bonus as our group likes to enjoy breakfast & lunch at the villa when possible while enjoying the sunshine. We may well wish to return to your lovely villa in the next year or so - perhaps you may even offer a discount. Please pass on our gratitude to both Sam & Steve for their advice & support when required - much appreciated.

Just back from a week in Fuzeta - the Villa is fabulous. Spacious very well equipped and provides everything a family could need for a relaxing break. The Master Bedroom has a lovely sea view and private terrace, and for any serious sun worshippers the roof terrace is the perfect private place - quiet relaxing with a lovely sea breeze. The Beach Towels provided are a Blessing, in these times of restricted baggage allowances not having to pack them was bliss. Fuzeta is a small un-commercialized resort with a daily fish market – we found the stroll into town each morning to purchase fish for a BBQ lunch perfect – purchases made, a quick coffee in one of the local bars – all of 1euro 80 for two! Amazing. The Villa has two bikes, plenty of sun loungers which we spread around the Villa and followed the sun. We would highly recommend and intend to return.

David, just a short note to let you know my family thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Casa Arte Nova.The villa is so large, beautifully furnished and equipped. Angie was very welcoming on arrival and full of advice and local knowledge. Fuzeta is a charming village. How could anybody not enjoy their stay at Casa Arte Nova ? Incidentally, called at Beiro Rio for a drink or two and had a most enjoyable meal.The restaurant lived up to it's "In the Top 10 in the Algarve" rating given by Jennifer at Algarve-beach-life.com Thank you for providing such a good property and easy booking process.

We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Portugal and the weather was certainly perfect.We really did enjoy our stay and did have a good meal at Moncapacho and loved all the local fish, having driven up to Lagos around the golfing areas, we decided that we were at the nicer end, real Portugal, loved it up in the hills.

Spent one week with my family in this beautiful spacious villa last October. The property is maintained to a very high standard and is spotlessly clean. The private pool is really nice and there are lots of things to in the area.
We were just a short train journey away from Tavira and could walk to the beach in less than five minutes if we got bored of the pool. We had a lovely relaxing time and would highly recommend the venue to other families. Can't wait to return - hopefully in 2010.

We had a great time on our holiday last year. This villa is certainly luxious and defintely more spacious than any other we would have stayed at. The house itself was like walking into a family home from home with a mediterrean twist. Anything we needed for ourselves or the kids was there, very clean and very well maintained. The property and area itself was very safe and we had no qualms at any stage about our children's safety or security which meant that Mum & Dad had a very relaxed holiday. Restaurants, shops etc. within walking distance. The kids loved the train trip into nearby Tavira which was an adventure in itself - again safety not an issue. Customer services second to none. Also great to deal with Irish owners who understand needs and wants of the irish customer/family. HIghly recommend!! Will be back!
