Relax in the privacy of your own garden or take in the stunning panoramic views whilst sunbathing on one of the upper or lower spacious patios alongside the pool. There is a top pool where the water cascades down to the lower,deeper pool. A ten minute stroll takes you down to the quaint fishing village of Fuzeta to chill out on the local calm lagoon beach or take a short ferry ride to the island and its miles of beautifully clean sands.
Explore the ancient seaside village with its authentic setting and traditional village houses or wander among the shops, restaurants, cafes, bars and beach side tavernas.

This beautifully appointed ground floor apartment is accessed by lobby and has an entry system and spy hole for additional security. It is a new build with large double glazed sliding windows at the front overlooking individual landscaped gardens.
The double sofa bed in the lounge comfortably sleeps 2 children
The well equipped kitchen has ample cupboard space,granite work surfaces and air conditioning.
A Cot/High chair is available for rent on request at € 15 Euro each per week.
Tea,coffee,sugar,milk and water is in the apartment for you on arrival.
Beach towels are available on request.

The two communal swimming pools for the complex are across from the apartment and is within view.
The pools are on two levels,the top being a more shallow pool, cascading down to the lower deeper pool. Both have a large patio areas to sunbathe and to take in the stunning panoramic views of the ocean.
The apartment has it's own paved garden at the back,part sun/part shade with a large table and 6 chairs and sun loungers.

A 25% deposit is required to secure the reservation. The balance plus a refundable breakage bond (subject to satisfactory property inspection) of £100.00 pounds sterling will be payable one month prior to your arrival.

All charges include cleaning prior to arrival,change of linen once per week and cleaning after departure.

I will be meeting you at the apartment to hand over the keys and to answer any questions that you may have.
I am available any time on my mobile should you need assistance.
I have a friendly English speaking taxi driver,Francisco and I can arrange for you to be met at the airport and brought to the apartment. The cost is approx 30 euros per car each way (maximum 4 people per car).
Please let me know if you require additional provisions on arrival - I charge a small fee of 20 Euros for collection plus the cost.
There is an additional charge of €30 if arriving after 20.00hrs and €40 if arriving at the apartment after 22.00hrs.
Conditions
Strictly no smoking in the apartment but you may smoke in the garden.
A refundable breakage deposit of £100.00 is required with the payment of the balance. This will be refunded within 2 weeks of your departure (subject to satisfactory property inspection).

The Algarve is the most sunniest place in Europe with 3000 hrs of sun each year. There are miles of unspoilt golden sandy beaches. Flight time to Faro direct from UK is approx 2.15 hrs and Fuzeta is 30-35 mins drive from the airport. The Portuguese are warm and very helpful people and many can speak English.
FARO
Faro, the capital of the Algarve is a great place to visit for its history, particularly attractive is the old part of the city still surrounded by the Roman walls. It is the home to the city's archaeological museum. The "Golden" church contains the Macabre Spectacle of a chapel lined with the bones of 1,200 monks! Walk through the quaint streets and in shops,traditional and old or simply while away the day relaxing in the cafes/bars. Down at the harbour there is always the hustle and bustle of the boats and the occasional fisherman.
OLHÂO
Pronounced 'ol-ee-ow', Olhão is a busy modern town with a gem of a waterfront. Its fishing port is the most important in the Eastern Algarve and its fish market is the biggest. It also has many shops, restaurants and an entire summer festival devoted to sea food. Ameijoas - the king of clams - is both grown and eaten in abundance and is a 'must-try' entreé, as are conquilas. Olhão is very Portuguese, very Algarvian and very un-touristic. The pedestrian shopping area winds in cobbled streets through the moorish-looking old town to the waterfront with its markets (fruit, veg, meat, deli as well as fish), its cafe's, parks and sparkling views out over the Ria Formosa lagoons. From the pier, you can take boats to the island villages and beaches of Armona, Culatra and Farol - all great day trips. The official visitor centre for the Ria Formosa nature reserve is just outside Olhão. Its worth a visit to see: the restored tidal mill (of which there were once many in the Ria Formosa), the bird life, and the chance to spot the very rare symbol of the park, the Purple Galinule.
Olhao recently opened a brand new shopping complex (Ria shopping) including 80 shops, a large supermarket,restaurants/bars and cinema. It also has a new Auditorium.
TAVIRA
Tavira, 20 minutes away by car is a wonderful mix of the unexpected and the unusual. You will find a 13th century castle, the old gate of the city, a Camera Obscura, a magnificent Roman bridge, a beautiful garden with bandstand, and the old market hall which has been converted into a cafe/restaurant and craftshops' area. Then, there are the numerous churches for which Tavira is famous. Pick up your fresh fish, fruit and vegetables from the new local market and admire the salt pans where the famous Tavira salt is harvested. A picturesque ferry trip takes you to the island of Tavira from the riverside in the town, during the summer, or from the four aquas' jetty, in the winter. The Barril beach, close to Pedras del Rei, Monte Gordo or Monta Rota are often voted as the best beaches if you want to go further afield.
There are water parks to the west, zoo marine where you can swim with the dolphins and go carting all within 55 mins drive.
The Fuzeta area
Fuzeta village originally only a collection of small huts kept to store tools from fishing boats,has gradually developed and increased in population of a little more than 2000 inhabitants. This ancient seaside village and bird watchers paradise,first inhabited by the Romans,is a favourite for travelers seeking a beautiful or romantic destination in the Algarve. Just a 10 minute walk and through the back streets will take you to quaint cubed houses with their terraces and chimneys,a trademark of this part of the Algarve. Relax in one of the many cafes and bars in the main square before heading off to the calm smaller beach on the lagoon, ideal for the younger children. A 10 minute ferry ride takes you to the island and the long clean beaches. Here you can spend the day kite surfing at one end or just relaxing in the calmer waters in the opposite direction or simply walk for miles. Arrange to go island hopping and enjoy a relaxing lunch organised by one of the tour operators.
After catching one of the frequent ferries back to the village how about sampling one of the many seafood appetizers whilst drinking a beer in one of the bars on the waterfront , watching the colourful fishing boats come and go. Explore the cobbled back streets and you will find many restaurants dotted throughout this charming village. Newspaper shops,post office,bank,pharmacy,butchers and the daily local produce markets are all in and around the main part of Fuzeta.
There is a market in Fuzeta on the 1st Thursday of each month and a flee market/car boot sale on the 1st Sunday of each month were you will find lots of interesting trinkets as well as food and drink.
Also we benefit from a large supermarket situated at one end of Fuzeta that sells fresh bread,meat,produce and has a large dairy section and wine counter.
At night there is usually some live music in one of the bars and the whole of Fuzeta is alive with all the locals and their families enjoying the wonderful atmosphere.
Olhão Seafood Festival takes place in August (about the 2nd week). It's one of the biggest gastronomy festivals in the Algarve with lots of delicious seafood cooked to perfection to tantalise the taste-buds! There is plenty to entertain you with live music every night.
Hire a bike and take the blue cycle route that runs along the coast.
GOLF
There are several superb golf courses all within a 30 minute drive, the nearest being COLINA VERDE only 4 km away.
This 9 hole executive par 3 golf course is suitable for players of all levels with an average playing time of 1.5 hours.
BENAMOR - Ranked 25 by the visitors of Portugal golf Experience, the first course to be open to the east of Faro, lies between the Tavira coast and uplands of the Serra Do Caldeirão. The course offers both southward out to the Atlantic Ocean and Northwards towards the hinterland with it's striking hills and fertile valleys.
QUINTA DA RIA - Is a spectacular 18 hole golf course and is in the Ria Formosa natural Park. It spreads along an almost flat surface f 660.00 square metres down to the Ria Formosa itself, hanging over it and with a stunning view of the sea. It is a par 72, comprising of two loops of 9 holes and each loop with two par -5, five par -4 and two par -3 holes.
MONTE REI - Ranked 1 by the Visitors of Portugal Golf Experience. This club is set in the picturesque foothills of the Eastern Algarve with it's sweeping views of the Serra Do Caldeirão mountains to the orth and the Atlantic Ocean to the South. The first of two Jack Nicklaus signature golf courses - Monte Rei North -opened for play in June 2007. This par 72 championship course, measuring 6567m from the tournament tees, is a truly unique design, with water coming into play on eleven of the eighteen holes. The course features an enjoyable series of eight par -4's, five par -3's and five par-5's in a challenging and distinctive layout.

Cheap flights are available from RyanAir, AirLingus, Flybe, EasyJet, British Airways, AirFrance and TAP, just to name a few.
-Faro airport is approx 21km from the apartment.
-An organised friendly taxi can be arranged and Francisco will be waiting in the airport for you. It will only take approx 35 minutes to get to the apartment and the cost is 30-35 euros per car each way.
-Car hire is not needed as you are minutes walk from all amenities and all forms of transport.
-A bus is available to take you from the airport to the train station in Faro and then to Fuzeta. The train station in Fuzeta is 8 minutes walk from the apartment.
-I would advise to book on line to get the cheapest deal when renting a car.

After finding the property on Owners Direct for the first stay in 2011 what we found was a lovely apartment in a very quiet complex We came back in 2012 with our 2nd child as we knew that we had a great child friendly apartment and a great child friendly location in Fuseta The apartment has everything you need from a holiday rental and is certainly a great base for exploring the Eastern Algarve (if you do want to get a bit further afield then hire a car as it helps with getting to some of the further located attractions and also for the bigger hypermarkets if feeding a family) Fuseta itself is gorgeous,unspoilt by tourists and if you take the small ferry over to the sandbank beach you'll find one of the most unspoilt beaches in Europe where within 2/3 minutes walk you can be by yourself on your own stretch of beach After coming back off the ferry pop into one of the two bars either side of the playground to finish your afternoon with a cold Sagres Some lovely restaurants serving locally caught seafood and financially you won't be breaking the bank The pool on the complex is two level and is great for kids with adult supervision,a little cold but hey the temperature warms it up nicely and hopefully you'll need to cool off after spending time in the beautiful sun we've found down there Alan has a great selection of leaflets and guide books in the apartment so you won't be lost for things to do Jane who looks after the apartment is a blessing,she helped us with everything when we needed help and anything we hadn't got we soon had I just hope that this part of Portugal stays untouched and off the tourist track (selfish I know but you'll know what I mean if you stay here) |
