Home description
Our spacious apartment is ideally situated for the promenade to the nearby lidos and beaches. Closeby is the new Forum shopping complex for domestic and designer shopping. Funchal town is about 25 mins walk away - but buses and taxis are readily available just outside the main entrance. Spend the day exploring the old town of Funchal , visiting some of Madeira's delightful botanic gardens,levada walking or touring this beautiful island of diverse landscapes. When you return to the apartment, you can relax on our west facing balcony and maybe have a sun-downer !

The Madeira region
Madeira lies about 650km west of Morocco and enjoys a year-long sub-tropical climate. Winters months are spring-like and summer months, although warm, rarely get too hot. Due to this mild, warm climate, the island is a gardeners' paradise.
The coastline has numerous sea-water pools, both natural and man-made, but there are few beaches. The interior is mainly mountainous and much of it is criss-crossed with irrigation canals called levadas. The footpaths which run alongside these waterways enable walkers to explore and enjoy the magnificent views of the rugged mountains and lush valleys.
Funchal, the capital is a small, picturesque city with narrow bustling streets and many fine traditional old buildings. A cleaner, more colourful city would be hard to find.

Other activities to be enjoyed in Madeira- apart from swimming and relaxing in the sun - include golf, jeep safaris, big game fishing, levada walking, sailing, surfing, scuba diving and snorkelling. Other attractions include the Casino, the cable car to Monte Palace Gardens, tobogganing in wicker baskets(!), and boat excursions.
How to get there
Madeira International Airport is the only airport in Madeira, and is about a 25 minute taxi journey to our apartment. Although there are always buses and taxis at the airport, we are happy to arrange a taxi for you. The taxi driver that we have used for many years is honest and reliable. If you want to hire a car, there are plenty of car hire firms close by our apartment.

Further details outdoors: This secure and exclusive residential development is situated on a clifftop overlooking the promenade. The pool and sunbathing terrace is set in beautiful landscaped gardens with uninterrupted views of the sea. The apartment is on the 4th floor and is serviced by two lifts that take you to the ground floor, swimming pool, gardens and car park. Parasols and sunloungers are available by the poolside.
