About the home

Murteiras Apartment is a charming and romantic atmosphere top floor apartment with character, decorated with very good taste and the constant improvement makes this apartment most welcoming.

Wide sliding glass doors lead onto the large private balcony with a small table, chairs and a hammock to enable relaxation overlooking the breathtaking panoramic ocean, city and mountains view.

Sunsets are an absolute must at this apartment!

Ideally located in a Funchal city quiet alley, opposite from the touristic area which facilitates immediate contact with genuine local life. Not far from the city centre and very near the motorway which ensures easy access to the rest of the Island.

The kitchen is quite spacious and modern - Induction hob; Nespresso machine. Bring your own assortment of Nespresso capsules with your favorite flavors or request from us in advance (minimum 6 weeks) so that we can purchase them (cannot be purchased on site).
Heaters in the winter.
Complete Bathroom with electric heated towel rail.

The Madeira region

Here in the Atlantic Ocean, not too far from the centre of Europe, we find Madeira Island.

Madeira has long been a favourite holiday destination for Northern Europeans seeking an alternative to bleak winters and frenzied lifestyles. Recent increase in low-cost direct flights has further contributed to making Madeira the ideal location for a perfect holiday. It is close enough for weekend breaks but a far cry from Northern temperatures, with great views.

The Island is famous for its friendly people, exceptional natural beauty and mild climate (22ºC in the summer and 16ºC in the winter).

Is just a short trip from Europe, to a destination where you can combine holidays on the beach, in the mountains or in the city. Madeira is the ideal place to relax and restore the balance of mind and body that you need to face the stress of daily life.

GOLF INFORMATION:

PALHEIRO GOLF - This 18 hole, 6000 metre plus course was designed in 1993 by Cabel Robinson, and is skillfully set within the gracious parkland of the Quinta de Palheiro Ferreiro. Remarkable for tight fairways, fast greens, and judicious use of the beautiful trees that once covered the hillside, the course is a worthy challenge for all handicap levels. Palheiro Golf is situated some 10 km east of Funchal with magnificent views overlooking the town and bay.

SANTO DA SERRA GOLF - Its original course, built in 1937, was redesigned in 1991 by the famous golf architect Robert Trent Jones who created a completely new and spectacular 27hole golf course in one of the most beautiful landscapes that nature may offer. Santo da Serra Golf is 20 minutes away from Funchal centre and 5 minutes away from the airport.
